According to Dr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen - Director of the Poison Control Center, Bach Mai Hospital, 2 victims of the fire at Trung Kinh who were treated at the Poison Control Center were discharged after 10 days of care and treatment.

The two patients discharged from the hospital are Ms. NTX (30 years old) and Mr. NTK (35 years old), a married couple, treated at the Poison Control Center with a diagnosis of smoke inhalation in the fire (respiratory burns due to toxic gas, inhalation of coal dust, myocardial depression, monitoring for CO poisoning). The patients were treated with oxygen inhalation, respiratory care to remove coal dust sputum, bronchoscopy with bronchial lavage, antibiotics, and dexamethasone. In addition, the patients were treated with hyperbaric oxygen, a total of 8 times to prevent late mental and neurological complications.

Sharing about these two cases, Dr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen, who directly treated and consulted the victims in this fire, said: After 10 days of care and treatment, the two patients recovered well and were discharged from the hospital, returning to their families. The patients need to maintain the doctor's prescription to prevent mental/neurological complications and make an appointment for a follow-up visit 20 days after discharge.

Previously, on May 24, Bach Mai Hospital received 3 victims of the fire at Trung Kinh transferred from the Transport Hospital, 2 patients (a couple) were treated at the Poison Control Center and an 85-year-old woman (the homeowner's mother) was treated at the Intensive Care Center.

Currently, the old lady's condition is still very serious, on a ventilator, with a high fever, cerebral infarction, and microvascular hemorrhage in both cerebral hemispheres. Experts and doctors regularly consult, devoting all their heart and mind to treat the patient.
