Accordingly, the Department of Health assigned medical examination and treatment facilities affected by storm No. 10 to urgently clean up, repair, and disinfect the unit to ensure that medical examination and treatment activities for the people are not interrupted. The Center for Disease Control, Medical Centers, and 56 Medical Stations in the province focus on maximum human resources, chemicals, and equipment to quickly complete environmental disinfection, water source sanitation, food safety and hygiene, and disease prevention in areas with local flooding and areas at risk of pollution; Proactively monitor closely and accurately assess the risk of epidemics that may appear in areas affected by natural disasters, especially areas that may be subject to local flooding, flash floods, landslides, etc. to have timely solutions, not allowing any epidemics to break out in the province. Require units to continue to strictly implement the daily reporting regime to the Department of Health to synthesize reports to competent authorities.

Accordingly, on October 5, 2025, the Center for Disease Control continued to mobilize 6 disinfectant sprayers in coordination with officials of Thuc Phan Ward Health Station and Thuc Phan Ward People's Committee to organize disinfection spraying at the Cultural House of Hop Giang Residential Groups 4, 5, 9, 11, some households in Hop Giang Residential Group 6 and some roads around the flooded area. At the same time, a working group was sent to supervise and provide professional support for environmental sanitation, treatment of flooded domestic water sources and disease prevention and control after storms and floods in Doc Lap Commune and Be Van Dan Commune.

Due to the influence of storm No. 10 causing prolonged heavy rain in the area province, in which Doc Lap commune has 42 households in 7 hamlets that were flooded; Be Van Dan commune has 80 households in 6 hamlets and 2 schools that were flooded: Hong Dai Kindergarten and Primary School. Immediately after the water receded, the Health Stations of 02 communes deployed the work of spraying disinfectants on the environment and barns in flooded households, distributing 885 Aquatabs water disinfectant tablets to treat water sources and domestic water for people, of which Doc Lap commune distributed 220 tablets, Be Van Dan commune distributed 665 tablets.

The Center for Disease Control has come to monitor and provide professional support on environmental treatment, water treatment for daily life and prevention and control of common diseases after storms and floods. At the same time, it has distributed 100 more Aquatabs water disinfection tablets to flooded households in addition to the number allocated to the Health Stations, and has also visited some households to instruct people on how to use Aquatabs tablets to disinfect water for daily life. Also on the same day, many medical facilities in the province such as Bao Lam Medical Center and Quang Trung Commune Health Station also carried out environmental disinfection and water disinfection in the locality according to the "4 on-site" motto.

On the same day, the World Health Organization Office in Vietnam supported Cao Bang province with 80,000 disinfectant pills. Aquatabs water disinfectant, the Center for Disease Control will continue to allocate and distribute to localities to meet the needs of domestic water treatment for people to overcome the consequences of floods and prevent epidemics.
