Act quickly, share promptly
The successive storms have tested the endurance of the people of Ninh Binh and many other provinces. The consequences of storm No. 10 and tornadoes were extremely serious in Ninh Binh, killing 9 people, injuring 50, damaging thousands of households' houses, and severely damaging many schools, medical stations, transport infrastructure, electricity and water. People, especially families with heavy losses, are facing countless difficulties and need urgent support to rebuild their lives.

Immediately after storm No. 10 caused damage in the area, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province quickly sent working delegations to visit, encourage and share with affected families, especially those with heavy losses.
On October 4, 2025, Comrade Mai Van Tuat, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee signed an urgent appeal letter to agencies, units, organizations, enterprises, businessmen and people of all walks of life in Ninh Binh province to join hands to support the people to overcome the damage.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee has called on cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, and people receiving salaries from the state budget to each contribute at least one day's salary to join hands with the people.
In just a short time, the response has exceeded expectations. From October 5, 2025 to 4:00 p.m. on October 10, 2025, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has received support from nearly 300 agencies, units and individuals inside and outside the province with a total amount of over 41 billion VND.
In addition to calling for and receiving support, the Provincial Fatherland Front commits to "using all funding sources from organizations and individuals for the right purposes and effectively." This transparency further strengthens trust and encourages generosity.
At the grassroots level, support has reached the people quickly. Comrade Mai Thi Dan, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Nhat Commune, shared: “By October 10, 2025, through the review of the commune, there were 90 households affected by storm No. 10, of which many households were severely affected, their roofs were blown off and 6 houses were completely collapsed. The Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and organizations have mobilized forces to participate in overcoming the consequences, at the same time propagandizing, mobilizing, and calling on benefactors to support. Through the Fatherland Front channel alone, the commune has received about 250 million VND in support money and has connected with the children of the homeland and successful businessmen to support the people. Many households have stabilized their lives.”
This timely support has brought warmth and confidence to the people. Ms. Nguyen Thi Khuan, in Quan Phuong 2 village, Quy Nhat commune, emotionally shared: “My family lost its corrugated iron roof to a tornado. With the attention of the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front, organizations, agencies, units, and philanthropists, they have supported my family with 32 million VND and working days to overcome the effects of the natural disaster, re-roof the house, helping me stabilize my life after 10 days of the storm.”
When every citizen is a volunteer
Not only limited to Ninh Binh, the spirit of great solidarity, sharing difficulties and losses with the spirit of "mutual love and support", "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves" also spread strongly to the provinces heavily affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11 such as Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh , Cao Bang... Floodwaters rose up to the roofs, swept away property, leaving mud and soil everywhere. In the midst of such difficult circumstances, what kept people's faith was humanity and compatriots' love spreading from everywhere.

In Ninh Binh, in addition to the financial support through the Vietnam Fatherland Front, many philanthropists and people have also proactively and promptly transported necessities, directly supporting people and forces on flood prevention duty both inside and outside the province. Although they do not know each other, they are all Vietnamese, each of them has become a volunteer to sort goods, arrange necessities on vehicles, and join hands to promptly move relief to people in flood-affected areas outside the province. In times of difficulty and calamity like this, we see more clearly the solidarity of the people.
A typical example of this spirit is the story of Ms. Bui Thi Thanh Huyen, Nam Hoa Lu ward. Ms. Huyen emotionally shared: “To spread the spirit of mutual love and support, I and some families in the ward regularly monitor and update weather information. When I saw that localities in Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces were flooded, I posted on Facebook and called on friends to join hands to help. In a few days, the volunteer group mobilized 1,500 gifts of essential food to transport to Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh. During the relief process, the group ensured safety by regularly updating information and contacting local authorities to ensure timely distribution to the right people."
Sharing the difficulties with people in flooded areas, many businesses have joined hands with local authorities to solve the problem of overcoming floods, not only with cash but also with necessary equipment and human resources.
Ms. Bui Thi Thuy Hang, Communications Department, Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area said: “In the spirit of mutual love, when receiving information about the impact of storm No. 11, especially the people of Thai Nguyen province, the staff of Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area and many local people joined hands to support the people affected by natural disasters. The relief team of nearly 20 people set off on October 8 and October 9, mobilizing 3 motorboats, 600 life jackets, and other essential foods. We hope to contribute our small efforts to help people in the flood-affected areas overcome the immediate difficulties and soon stabilize their lives."
In the spirit of sharing, many volunteer groups have been established in all communes and wards across the province to organize trips to directly provide relief to people affected by natural disasters, bringing necessary supplies and timely encouragement.
In addition to direct relief activities, through the Ninh Binh Red Cross channel, many organizations and individuals have actively contributed and supported such as: Hoa Lam Pagoda delegation (Binh Luc commune) organized relief in Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen provinces with 500 gifts of necessities, totaling over 250 million VND. Seosin Electronic Vina Co., Ltd. (Chau Son Industrial Park) supported necessities for people in flood-hit areas of Thai Nguyen province with a total value of nearly 55 million VND....
These practical actions are not only material support but also a great source of encouragement, affirming the tradition of "helping each other" of the Vietnamese people in general, and the tradition of solidarity, sharing and helping those in need of Ninh Binh people in particular.
