Many canoes and jet skis in Vinh Hy Bay are not qualified to operate.

On the morning of September 19, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, directly inspected and directed the handling of unqualified tourist vehicles operating in Vinh Hy Bay area in Vinh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district.

According to the report of Ninh Hai District People's Committee, in Vinh Hy Bay area there are 24 glass-bottom boats qualified for operation; 33 canoes, of which 19 are not qualified for operation; 31 jet skis are not qualified for operation.

Many unqualified tourist vehicles are operating in Vinh Hy Bay area.

In addition, there are 5 floating restaurants made of converted wooden rafts for aquaculture that have been docked on composite rafts to serve tourists, including: Vui Ve raft of Tan Vinh Cuong company; raft of Vinh Hy Discovery company; Dung Nhan raft of Mr. Hoang Quoc Dung; Ut Thanh raft of Mr. Nguyen Hoang Chinh and Madam Hoang raft of Ms. Hoang Thi Dung.

Since the beginning of April 2023, the People's Committee of Ninh Hai district has issued a decision to impose administrative penalties on these floating restaurants using wooden rafts for aquaculture, but up to now, the owners of the rafts have not yet complied with the penalty decision.

During the inspection, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam directly directed the departments to focus on reviewing violations in tourism activities to strictly handle them to ensure the safety of tourists visiting Vinh Hy Bay.

"The province's policy is to create all conditions for businesses and people to develop tourism in general and in Vinh Hy Bay in particular. However, people and businesses doing tourism need to strictly comply with the provisions of the law, so that Ninh Thuan tourism can develop sustainably...", Mr. Nam said.
