Son Kien Women's Union helps 18 members and women escape poverty

An Giang Provincial Women's Union sent flowers to congratulate the congress.

The Party Executive Committee of Son Kien commune presented a banner to the congress.

In the 2021 - 2025 term, the Women's Union of Son Kien commune registered to help 41 poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households... As a result, 18 members and women escaped poverty, contributing to reducing the overall poverty rate of the whole commune to 1.09%.

The Association carried out 22 projects and tasks, achieving 146% of the target; supported 16 members to start and successfully start businesses, introduced jobs to 236 female workers, built 4 models of joint groups, and managed over 56 billion VND from entrusted loans from banks.

From 2021 to present, the Women's Union at all levels from commune to hamlet has given more than 5,000 gifts to women and children in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of more than 2 billion VND; coordinated with organizations and individuals to support the construction and repair of 17 Charity Homes, with a total cost of over 830 million VND.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Women's Union of Son Kien commune strives to maintain and improve the quality of operations of 3 cooperative groups. Every year, it mobilizes and supports 20 households to meet the criteria of "Family of 5 haves, 3 cleans", registers and carries out 2 projects/tasks.

By the end of the term, 90% of people who are victims of domestic violence and gender-based violence who are detected will have access to at least one of the basic support services; 100% of women and girls who are victims of domestic violence and victims of human trafficking who have returned and are detected will have access to at least one social assistance service.

The leader of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union, Secretary of the Son Kien Commune Party Committee presented the decision and flowers to the Executive Committee of the Son Kien Commune Women's Union, term 2025 - 2030.

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union on appointing 23 comrades to join the Executive Committee of the Son Kien Commune Women's Union for the 2025-2030 term. Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Chi was appointed to hold the position of President of the Son Kien Commune Women's Union for the 2025-2030 term.
