Hanoi - Vietnam was chosen by the legendary Nordic band Secret Garden as the opening destination for their global tour marking 30 years of their career. “Secret Garden Live in Vietnam” is the third program in the series of international music projects for the community “Good Morning Vietnam” initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam with the aim of bringing world-class music to Vietnam, while spreading the cultural and historical values of the beautiful country of Vietnam to the world. All ticket sales revenue will be used for charity activities.

Coming to Vietnam for the first time to perform and film a music video promoting Vietnam tourism , the group Secret Garden made the audience and their long-time fans extremely excited.
More than 20 immortal songs were skillfully selected from the 13 albums released by the group over the past 30 years, most of which were familiar hits, performed by the two key members Rolf Løvland (piano) and Fionnuala Sherry (violin) and the 6 members of the Secret Garden band on the stage of the National Convention Center with excellent quality.

“Secret Garden Live in Vietnam” opens with "Windancer" and special effects that promise to take the audience into a magical world where humans blend with wild nature.
Global hits were also played, such as “Nocturne” – the song that made Secret Garden famous when they won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1995 – and “Song From A Secret Garden” – the title track of the group’s first album released in 1996 and one of their most listened to tracks.

Secret Garden uses music to communicate with the audience, sometimes Rolf Løvland and Fionnuala Sherry interact and share the stories behind their compositions. Secret Garden's music is truly "healing" because they also compose lullabies for adults as well as children who always need soothing melodies to forget all the worries in life and fall asleep with "Lullaby for Grown-ups" with the voice of male singer Espen.

During the show, Secret Garden gave a surprise to the Vietnamese audience when they performed the piece “Tree of secrets” for the first time on stage. Artist Fionnuala Sherry said that one of the best things about their first tour in Vietnam was the enthusiastic support and affection they received from the audience. That is why the group also performed the song “Thank you” with Espen’s voice and meaningful lyrics as a thank you to the Vietnamese audience.
There are many messages that can be seen in the songs that Secret Garden has chosen to send to the audience on this tour. They are strength, hope, dreams and above all, a message of positive and optimistic living. Secret Garden hopes that the audience will find peace of mind through their music and they have done so not only with this concert but throughout the past 3 decades.

At the concert “Secret Garden Live in Vietnam”, artist Rolf Løvland shared with the audience for the first time a personal story, that was the time when Fionnuala Sherry was diagnosed with cancer and the group had to cancel their world tour for her treatment but everything was fine. They thought it would be great to spend time on music and start playing like they were just starting out. This is also the reason why he composed “Fionnuala's violin” for her and this piece was chosen for the concert in Vietnam.
The classic hit “You raise me up” that millions of audiences around the world know by heart was performed by Secret Garden to close the concert night. This is also the most covered song by Secret Garden with more than 1,000 recordings in 50 different languages, many times helping Josh Groban and Westlife top prestigious music charts. Thousands of audiences at the National Convention Center turned on their phones’ flashlights to the melody of the song.

As promised, “Secret Garden Live in Vietnam” is the most beautiful stage that Secret Garden has ever performed. In addition to the music, the visual art is carefully prepared for each performance, the audience feels like they are entering a Nordic garden, and at the same time, they are entering a Vietnamese garden with images of our country. Lotus ponds, bamboo clumps, lanterns, terraced fields, golden rice fields, Ninh Binh mountains and rivers... appear beautifully on the background of the group's immortal music.
