Exciting 2025 National Men's Student Football Tournament - Southern Region Qualifying Round

VHO - On the morning of October 15, at the football field of Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports and Physical Education (HCMC), the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 National Men's Student Football Tournament, TV360 Cup - Southern Region Qualifying Round took place.

The tournament has the participation of 25 teams.

This is considered a regional student football "festival", promising exciting and attractive competitions.

The Southern regional qualifying round of the tournament took place from October 15 to 20 with the participation of 25 typical university and college teams such as: Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, University of Science and Technology, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Van Lang University, Hong Bang International University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, etc.

The teams are divided into many groups, compete in a round-robin format, selecting the 6 best teams to enter the national finals.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports Nguyen Thanh Binh - Head of the tournament organizing committee said: "The TV360 Cup National Men's Student Football Tournament is not simply a sports playground, but also a place to affirm the bravery, team spirit and will to rise of Vietnamese students.

In every move, every goal is passion, the spirit of 'fair-play' and love for the Fatherland expressed through concrete actions - training health, cultivating will, living positively and contributing to the community".

According to Mr. Binh, the tournament contributes to building a physical training movement among students, with the desire to raise the stature of the grassroots football tournament that is widely expected by students of schools, contributing to the comprehensive development of education for the young generation, in order to discover, search for, and select future football talents.

The organizing committee launched a program to support people affected by storms and floods.

Also at the Opening Ceremony, responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Organizing Committee launched a program to support people in the northern provinces and cities. overcoming consequences and damage caused by storms and floods

The organizers took souvenir photos with the teams and players participating in the tournament.

Right after the Opening Ceremony, the first match took place between Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports and Hong Bang International University.
