Information about 'closing and dissolving non-public schools' is false

The Ministry of Education and Training confirmed that the information that "non-public schools were closed and dissolved, and students had to transfer to public schools" is untrue.

On October 15, the Ministry of Education and Training said that recently, on social networks, there has been a lot of information about non-public schools being closed and dissolved, and students having to transfer to public schools.

"This is false, fabricated, distorted information, causing information disruption, negatively affecting the psychology of people, parents, students as well as the activities of educational institutions," the Ministry of Education and Training emphasized, and said that it had transferred information about the accounts posting the above false information to competent authorities for consideration and handling according to regulations.

The Ministry of Education and Training also recommends that people do not share or spread false information, and should follow the Ministry's official information channels.

In early October 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of provinces and cities on instructions on arranging and organizing preschool, general education, and continuing education facilities in accordance with local authorities at two levels.

The document clearly states that the People's Committees of provinces and cities, based on the functions and tasks of agencies and units, inherit and promote the results of implementation; in accordance with the policy of rearranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus according to the requirements of the Politburo and the Secretariat. The rearrangement must not affect the quality and efficiency of providing public services.

In addition, it is necessary to comply with current regulations on school and class size, facility standards, and teacher quotas; linked to planning, population size, population density, and geographical conditions; ensuring that access to education for children, students, and trainees is not reduced.
