Secretary of Van Giang District Party Committee Le Van Hung and Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Dao Xuan Dung presented support goods to people affected by storms and floods in Van Giang district.

At dike guard post No. 1, Xuan Quan commune, Mr. Le Van Hung, Secretary of Van Giang District Party Committee, and the working delegation kindly visited the health and living conditions of the people and presented 500 boxes of instant noodles to support localities in the district affected by storms and floods.

At the same time, requesting Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, departments, branches and organizations of localities affected by storms and floods to review and promptly allocate support resources, ensuring the right beneficiaries; proactively mobilize all resources to increase care and support for families affected by damage and families in difficult circumstances; focus on environmental sanitation; prevent and control epidemics and support people to overcome damage and stabilize their lives.

Previously, on September 12, the Red River water rose to the foot of the dike, all the fields outside the banks of the five communes bordering the river, Xuan Quan, Phung Cong, Lien Nghia, Thang Loi and Me So commune (Van Giang district) were submerged in water.

The flower and ornamental plant fields of the people in Xuan Quan and Phung Cong communes were invested with modern and large-scale net houses and steel-framed greenhouses with roofs, because the people in these two communes specialized in growing high-quality flowers and ornamental plants. Therefore, the damage caused by floodwaters to them was extremely large.

To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, Van Giang district has evacuated dozens of households in Thang Loi and Xuan Quan communes to safety.
