The Ho Chi Minh Road section of Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa is gradually taking shape, bringing a captivating beauty. This project is 72.75km long, with a total investment of nearly 2,300 billion VND. The route passes through Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh provinces - 3 provinces in the Southern key economic region.
The project is divided into 3 packages, of which the section passing through Ho Chi Minh City is 31.5km long from Tru Van Tho commune to Saigon river bordering Tay Ninh . This section belongs to package XL-01, with Deo Ca Group as the contractor, with construction value of more than 681 billion VND.
The project will restart in November 2023, helping to complete unfinished construction items, contributing to connecting the Southeast - Central Highlands - Mekong Delta axis.
The Ho Chi Minh Highway through Ho Chi Minh City has 6 bridges including Phuoc Hoa Canal, Cay Truong, Ba Tu, Thi Tinh, Suoi Tre and Thanh An. In the photo is Thanh An Bridge, over 600m long, spanning the Saigon River.
This is the largest bridge in the package, with an investment of about 180 billion VND, including 12 pillars with a maximum clearance of 7m, allowing large ships to easily pass through.
The contractor has just completed the asphalt concrete pavement, prepared to paint road markings, and installed the lighting system.
Seen from above, the road lies in the middle of a vast rubber field. The contractor is carrying out the works of painting road markings, pouring concrete markers, etc.
According to the plan, the Ho Chi Minh road section Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa is a 6-lane highway, designed speed of 100 km/h. The first phase is invested with a scale of 2 lanes, in the future it will continue to expand according to the needs of regional development.
At present, although the route is ready for exploitation, there are still problems at the intersections of DT744, DT748 and DT749. In the photo, the DT744 intersection is at the branch from Thanh An bridge, the contractor has not been able to complete the project here.
In addition, the median strip at the DT744 intersection has not been removed, hindering the smooth flow of the entire route.
At the Thanh An bridge approach road (HCMC side), the contractor is urgently constructing the K95 and K98 embankment items and compensating with crushed stone aggregate. Due to the site clearance and the slow handover of infrastructure, the contractor can only just start the construction work.
At this time, workers gradually deployed the installation of traffic signs.
Ho Chi Minh Road, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section, is a section of the North - South Expressway in the West. This is a project that helps to create momentum to promote socio-economic development, attract investment, and expand the space for urban industrial development, trade, tourism, and services in the area.
