The grand opening of the Dinh Thay Thim cultural and tourism festival

Dinh Thay Thim Cultural - Tourism Festival 2023 takes place from October 28 - 30 (September 14 - 16 of the lunar calendar), at Dinh Thay Thim and Tam Tan branch (La Gi town) with many traditional tourism, cultural and sports activities.

At 5:00 a.m. on October 28, the Dinh Thay Thim Cultural - Tourism Festival 2023 took place with rituals such as welcoming the gods, receiving the Royal Decree and Certificate of recognition of the relic, incense offering ceremony, entering the temple, offering cakes to Thay and Thim, vegetarian noon offering, offering food for prosperity, inviting births, commemorating the ancestors and offering to the family soldiers, and the main ceremony.

In addition, there are cultural, sports and tourism activities typical of coastal areas such as exhibition of models of the legend of Thay and Thim, chess tournament, cycling, beach volleyball, tug of war, bird singing contest, cake making contest, dragon fruit harvesting contest, net weaving contest, carrying baskets out to sea, carrying fish, lion - unicorn - dragon performances, bonsai exhibition, music and dance programs, and folk art performances.

The highlight of the festival is the comprehensive art program taking place at the opening ceremony this afternoon, at 4:30 p.m. on October 28, performed by artists and actors from Ho Chi Minh City, including a theatrical performance about "The Legend of Thay and Thim". In addition to honoring the merits of Thay and Thim, the program also has special art performances praising the attractive features of tourism in La Gi town in particular, Binh Thuan in general, welcoming the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence". The opening night will be broadcast live on Binh Thuan Television - BTV and some regional TV stations.
