Promoting safe swimming and drowning prevention with the theme 'One kick - A thousand safe steps'

QTO - On the afternoon of October 16, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Swim for Life Vietnam safe swimming project and Quang Van Primary School, Nam Gianh Commune to organize an extracurricular activity to promote safe swimming and prevent drowning with the theme "One kick - A thousand safe steps" to equip students with the necessary knowledge and life skills to protect themselves and help others.

During the extracurricular activities, through skits, experiential activities, and competitions on knowledge and skills to prevent and fight drowning, students raised their awareness and practiced safe swimming skills; and spread positive messages about drowning prevention to students in the area.

Through the activities at the extracurricular session, the Organizing Committee also hopes that students will express their voices and thoughts, share knowledge, skills, models and good practices in preventing and combating drowning in the locality, thereby calling on the whole society to join hands to protect children from the current drowning situation.

The extracurricular activity to promote safe swimming and drowning prevention with the theme "One kick - A thousand safe steps" is not only an experiential and creative activity but also helps students gain the necessary knowledge and skills to protect themselves, appreciate safety and spread positive messages to friends, family and the community, in order to create a more meaningful and beautiful life.

On this occasion, the Swim for Life Vietnam safe swimming project also gave meaningful gifts to disadvantaged students who overcame difficulties to study well at Quang Van Primary School.
