On the morning of May 9, 2024, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) had a working session with Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemicals Joint Stock Company under Vietnam Chemical Group (VINACHEM) to resolve issues to strengthen cooperation between the two sides. Attending the meeting on behalf of VINACHEM were Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy General Director of the Group, Business Planning Department, Member of the Steering Committee for the transportation of apatite ore, fertilizers and chemicals in 2024 under VINACHEM. On behalf of Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemicals Joint Stock Company were Mr. Pham Thanh Tung, Party Secretary, General Director; Board of Directors of the Company; representatives of the Leaders of specialized departments and the Company Office. On behalf of Vietnam Railways Corporation were Mr. Hoang Gia Khanh, General Director of VNR and representatives of the Leaders of specialized departments and member companies of VNR. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Thanh Tung, General Director of the Company said: Supe Lam Thao is one of the typical member units of VINACHEM with a dedicated railway line connecting to the National Railway. Since the Company started production (in 1962) up to now, the Company has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with VNR in the transportation of goods to serve the Company's production and business activities, in which, the incoming goods are Apatite Ore, SA urea, Potassium,... and the outgoing goods are NPK fertilizer products, Superphosphate. However, in recent years, the mode of transportation has become increasingly diversified by road, waterway,... increasing the competitive factor and reducing the output of goods transported by rail of the Company. To ensure long-term cooperation and create conditions for both sides to operate effectively, the General Director of the Company proposed to VNR: Regarding the maintenance, repair and exploitation of railway transport: VNR and the Company will develop a plan to transfer 2.9 km of main railway connecting to the National Railway and the Level Crossing with barriers at Km 1+300 to the managing unit. The Company will develop a repair plan for branch lines suitable for production and business activities; VNR will share repair costs with the Company to reduce annual operating costs; VNR and Hanoi Locomotive Enterprise agree to determine the actual running hours of the machine during the day to determine fuel consumption as a basis for settlement in the year... Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hoang Gia Khanh, General Director of VNR expressed his deep gratitude to VINACHEM and Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company for always supporting, helping and accompanying the Vietnam Railway industry over the years. At the same time, he also expressed his wish to continue receiving the attention and cooperation of VINACHEM and Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Company. Regarding the Company's proposals, Mr. Hoang Gia Khanh agreed and highly agreed on the maintenance, repair and establishment of specialized trains to ensure stable apatite transportation for the Company. The General Director of VNR also requested the units and departments of VNR to review and reduce costs to reduce the cost of services and reduce the contract price of services that Lam Thao proposed, and at the same time study and review transportation prices to compete with other forms of transportation... Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy General Director of VINACHEM acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in all aspects of operations of Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company, including the efforts in railway transportation and effective coordination with VNR in the past time. On this occasion, Mr. Tu suggested that the Company continue to coordinate with VNR to jointly overcome difficulties, increase the output of transporting raw materials and goods by railway to promote production and business development, and successfully complete the assigned targets and plans. At the same time, he hoped that VNR would pay attention to implementing the proposals of Lam Thao Super Phosphate to ensure effective operation of both parties. At the end of the working session, Vietnam Chemical Group, Railway Corporation, Super Phosphate Joint Stock Company and Lam Thao Chemicals agreed to increase the use of each other's services, first of all, using the passenger transport service of Vietnam Railways when organizing for workers to travel , visit, and relax... Before that, representatives of the leaders of the units visited the stations: Tien Kien, Lam Thao Industry and the Apatite unloading point, road S6 (Super Phosphate Enterprise 1) and road S2 (Super Phosphate Enterprise 2).
