In order to achieve the production and business targets for 2025, Nam Mau Coal Company has to face many difficulties. Mining areas are increasingly deeper and farther from the center, complex geological conditions, thin and steep seams affect productivity and coal quality. Many fragmented production areas with low reserves have to be changed many times, increasing costs and reducing efficiency. Along with that, the rainy weather since the end of the second quarter has also directly affected the transportation, drainage and consumption of coal. In addition, the Company also has difficulty attracting and recruiting workers, especially miners, the main force in underground mining.
Faced with challenges in increasingly harsh production conditions, Nam Mau Coal Company has been proactive and flexible in directing and operating, synchronously implementing technical solutions, organizing production, improving labor productivity and improving working conditions for workers.
In the first 9 months of 2025, the Company recorded many outstanding results, creating a solid foundation for breakthroughs in the last months of the year. Total raw coal output reached over 2.1 million tons, equal to 81.6% of the yearly plan; consumption was managed flexibly, closely following the market and TKV's plan. The Company proactively processed according to demand, including slow-consumption coal types such as lump coal 8, bran 8, and peat to reduce inventory and maintain stable production. As a result, in the first 9 months, Nam Mau Coal consumed more than 1.9 million tons of coal, with estimated revenue of 3,240 billion VND, equal to 89% of the yearly plan. The average income of workers reached 22.7 million VND/person/month, an increase of 15% compared to the plan, contributing to ensuring jobs, lives and solidarity of mine workers.
One of the important factors that helped Nam Mau Coal make a breakthrough in the past 9 months is the promotion of the application of science and technology in production. In the mining stage, the Company urgently installed a mechanized longwall at -110 to -100, with a designed capacity of 1,500 tons of coal/day, equivalent to 35,000-38,000 tons/month, expected to be put into operation from mid-October 2025. When put into operation, the longwall will contribute to increasing output, improving working conditions and reducing labor for miners.
To prepare for production, the Company has put into use many modern mechanical equipment such as EBH-45 roadheader, ZWY-60/22L excavator, ZCY-45CG, helping to speed up the tunnel excavation progress, improve productivity and labor efficiency. In addition, the mine ventilation and drainage system continues to be invested synchronously, in which the +250 fan station and the Q1000 drainage expansion project stand out, contributing to increasing drainage capacity, ensuring safety and maintaining stable production.

Mr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of Nam Mau Coal Company, said: Entering the fourth quarter, the decisive sprint stage to complete the 2025 target, the Company is highly focused on coal production and consumption management. The fourth quarter target is to exploit 620,000 tons of coal, consume more than 580,000 tons, striving to complete and exceed the yearly plan. From now until the end of the year, the Company will drastically implement many key groups of solutions such as speeding up the mining progress at mechanized longwalls, speeding up digging tunnels to prepare for new areas, and maximally mechanizing the transportation of materials and coal to save time and improve labor productivity.
Along with that, we tighten the discipline of equipment operation, strengthen on-site inspection, limit incidents during the production process; at the same time, strictly control the quality of raw coal, increase the rate of clean coal recovery, reduce processing costs and energy consumption. In addition to production tasks, the Company promotes propaganda and training on labor safety, regularly reviews and assesses risks in the mine, promptly overcomes existing problems, to ensure absolute safety for people and equipment.
