The final match of the World Pool Championship 2025, which took place on the evening of July 26 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), ended with an emotional victory for Carlo Biado (Philippines). The top billiards player in the Philippines defeated Fedor Gorst (USA), the 2024 champion and currently the world's number 1 player, with a score of 15-13, after a dramatic chase.

This victory helped Carlo Biado step up to the top of the world in the 9-ball pool category for the second time, after his first crown in 2017. With this achievement, Biado entered the history of Philippine billiards. The player born in 1983 has been known as "Efren Reyes the Second". Up to now, he has officially surpassed his predecessor, when the legend Reyes only owned 1 world pool championship.

With this championship, the Filipino player nicknamed "Black Tiger" also received 250,000 USD, equivalent to more than 6.5 billion VND. This is also a record high bonus in the history of the tournament.
