Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Van Nien chaired a working session with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Van Tuong commune.

Joining the delegation were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee Lu Ngoc Binh, Head of the Provincial Party Internal Affairs Committee Truong Thi Linh, Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Luong Kim Son; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Tam Hien and leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Van Tuong commune was established on the basis of merging the natural area and population of 6 communes: Binh Hoa, Binh Phuoc , Binh Hai, Binh Dong, Binh Thuan and Binh Tri. Since its establishment, the Party Committee, government and political system of Van Tuong commune have promoted the spirit of solidarity, made efforts to lead, direct and operate effectively, meeting the requirements of local political tasks.

According to the commune's report, in the first 9 months of 2025, the total production value in the area reached more than 5,949 billion VND, equal to 115.67% of the yearly plan. Of which, agriculture reached more than 428 billion VND, industry - construction reached 3,188 billion VND, trade - services reached more than 2,333 billion VND. Total budget revenue is estimated at 456.6 billion VND.

Implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the commune has completed 100% of the plan, ahead of schedule with 74 houses built and repaired. At the same time, the commune effectively implemented two national target programs on new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction.

Currently, the whole commune is implementing 28 compensation and site clearance projects and 9 investment projects. The commune has approved specific land prices and compensation plans for 4 projects including: Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road (phase 4); Dung Quat Petroleum Mechanical Service Area (PTSC - phase 4); Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Production Complex; Binh Nguyen and Binh Phuoc Saltwater Dam Project (phase 7), with a total approved value of about 19 billion VND, a total recovered area of 34,154m²/63 households and individuals.

At the meeting, Van Tuong commune proposed that the province pay attention to investing in 8 schools with a total budget of about 81 billion VND (proposed in the public investment period 2026-2030) and support equipment for teaching and learning; upgrade, restore, and embellish the Van Tuong Victory National Historical Site and consider building a Van Tuong Victory Monument to educate about revolutionary traditions.

The commune also recommended that the province soon complete the land database, improve management efficiency, especially land fluctuation management; invest in a connecting wharf from Phuoc Thien (old Binh Hai) to Ly Son special zone; expand National Highway 24C from Hoa Phat to Port No. 1; allocate funds to repair the water intake culvert of Hoc Moc Lake (3 billion VND) and Hoa Hai Lake; support about 15 billion VND to complete the embankment from Fire Water Intake Wharf No. 11 to the embankment under construction, to prevent landslides in the Sa Can estuary area.

Speaking at the working session, Party Central Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Ho Van Nien acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the proactiveness and positivity of the Van Tuong Commune Party Committee in recent times. He emphasized that Van Tuong is located in the core area of Dung Quat Economic Zone, has many large enterprises, many potentials and advantages for socio-economic development, especially the locality with high budget revenue of the province.

With a large area, large population and favorable geographical location, Van Tuong is identified as the province's driving force in industrial development. The Provincial Party Secretary requested the entire political system, people and business community in the area to be determined and strive to make Van Tuong commune become a ward by 2030.

He noted that localities need to ensure security and order, harmonize industrial development with people's lives, strengthen propaganda, mobilization and persuasion to create social consensus, and create favorable conditions for development in the coming time.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested to focus on building a team of cadres with capacity, qualities, responsibility, dynamism, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation; promoting the application of information technology in management and operation; building a clean and strong grassroots party organization, implementing well the working regulations, the principle of collective leadership - individual responsibility, taking work efficiency as a measure to evaluate cadres, civil servants and public employees.
