11 villas and houses in Thao Dien area built without permission

Thu Duc City Inspectorate (HCMC) has just announced the inspection conclusion on construction order management work 2021-2022 at Thao Dien Ward People's Committee.

Accordingly, the inspection team randomly checked the ward's archives and verified the actual status of many projects as reported by the ward People's Committee, from August 1 to September 12.

The inspection team discovered 11 illegal constructions (mainly villas and houses). Of these, 7 illegal constructions were forced to take remedial measures by the Ward People's Committee but have not yet been implemented. 6 illegal constructions have been completed and put into use.

Regarding illegal construction projects, Thao Dien ward inspectors discovered 16 addresses that were not in accordance with the construction permit. Of these, 5 projects were completed, while at the time of inspection, only 2 addresses were in use. In addition, 7 projects were suspended, 2 projects were still under construction, and 1 project had already repaired the violating area...

The inspection conclusion pointed out that the People's Committee of Thao Dien ward had not promptly reviewed and evaluated the achievements, limitations, and shortcomings to resolve the shortcomings, difficulties, and problems in the management of construction order.

At the same time, the ward is slow to detect illegal constructions and has not resolutely organized measures to prevent and handle them from the beginning.

The above has led to a number of illegal constructions with large areas of violations, which have not yet completed procedures to adjust the construction permit but have been completed and put into use. Some illegal constructions have increased in area and structure but have not yet established a record to handle violations.

Most of the construction works that violate the law have not yet implemented the decisions to enforce the implementation of remedial measures issued by competent state agencies.

Thu Duc City Inspectorate requested the People's Committee of Thao Dien Ward to organize a review in directing and operating the above-mentioned related work, and at the same time coordinate with relevant units to assign tasks in handling violations.

In the ward there are many high-rise apartments, condominiums, luxury residential areas, and many housing projects for foreigners to rent.
