The Politburo concluded "to abolish school boards in public educational institutions"

(Dan Tri) - The Politburo and the Secretariat have thoroughly instructed not to organize school councils in public educational institutions (except for schools with international agreements), and to have the Party Secretary concurrently be the head of the educational institution.

Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu has just signed and issued Conclusion No. 197 of the Politburo and Secretariat on implementing a number of key contents and tasks in the activities of grassroots party organizations in the coming time.

At the meeting on October 3, the Politburo and Secretariat requested Party committees and organizations from the central to local levels to continue to lead and direct synchronous solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of operations of grassroots Party organizations in the fourth quarter of 2025.

In particular, the Politburo noted the need to organize research, thoroughly grasp, and strictly and synchronously implement the Politburo's new regulations on personnel work, especially in evaluating and using personnel.

This, according to the requirements of the Politburo and the Secretariat, must ensure democracy, impartiality, objectivity, transparency, consistency, and continuity. In particular, the Politburo and the Secretariat emphasized that the evaluation and use of cadres must be linked to specific criteria and products in accordance with the policy of "in, out", "up, down".

Party committees and organizations must also perform well the contents according to the functions, tasks, working relationships of grassroots party organizations and the working regulations of grassroots party committees; focusing on organizing reviews, evaluations, and classifications of collectives and individuals in the political system in 2025.

The Politburo and the Secretariat assigned the Government Party Committee to promptly perfect grassroots party organizations in sync with the organizational arrangement of a number of agencies.

The Government Party Committee was also assigned to urgently complete the transfer of Party organizations of State-owned enterprises (economic groups, corporations, State-owned commercial banks, etc.) to the local Party Committees where their headquarters are located. This task, as required, must be completed in October.

Another content concluded by the Politburo and Secretariat is to assign the Government Party Committee to specifically direct and guide the strengthening of the comprehensive and direct leadership role of party organizations, especially the role of heads of party committees in educational institutions.

The Politburo and the Secretariat thoroughly determined not to organize school councils in public educational institutions (except for public schools with international agreements) and to implement the policy of Party Secretary concurrently being the head of the educational institution.

For provincial, municipal and central party committees, the Politburo and the Secretariat request to continue effectively implementing the Secretariat's Directive on innovation, improving the quality of party cell activities, strengthening political and ideological education for party members, promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of each party member in carrying out political tasks and major policies of the Party.

Provincial, municipal, and central party committees must also continue to arrange and consolidate party organizations in accordance with administrative organization arrangements; strengthen inspection and supervision of the activities of grassroots party organizations to ensure proper implementation of Party regulations and State laws.
