Fisherman D. started having a fever on October 6 but was not treated. On the morning of October 11, he was taken to the island infirmary in a state of fatigue, high fever and signs of respiratory infection.
Test results showed electrolyte disturbances, which could progress to serious illness if not treated promptly.
Immediately after receiving the patient, doctors and nurses at Truong Sa Island Infirmary urgently provided first aid, administered IV fluids, electrolyte replacement, antibiotics, antipyretics, anti-inflammatories, and performed chest X-rays and other clinical tests.
Through initial diagnosis, the patient had viral fever, upper respiratory tract infection and electrolyte disturbance, with signs of pneumonia.
Thanks to timely emergency care and treatment, the fisherman's health has stabilized and he continues to be monitored and cared for at the Truong Sa Island Infirmary.
