Young Vietnamese shooters won 4 gold medals in the first competitions at the Southeast Asian tournament.

On October 9, in Bangkok (Thailand), the Vietnamese Shooting team had an impressive start at the 2025 Southeast Asian Shooting Championship (SEASA 2025) when they won 4 gold medals in the events for the young athlete age group.

Notably, in the 10m air pistol team event for young men, the trio Le Tuan Anh, Le Duy Vuong and Le Tuan Minh showed stable performance, achieving a total score of 1,696, surpassing the host team Thailand (1,690 points) to step onto the highest podium.

Immediately after that, the Vietnamese girls were equally excellent when they won the gold medal in the women's 10m air pistol team (including shooters Nguyen Thuy Trang, Tran Thi Xuan Huong, Tran Yen Nhi) with a total score of 1,676 points, 7 points more than the Thai team and 15 points more than the Singapore team.

In the individual competition, shooter Nguyen Thuy Trang continued to shine when she won the gold medal in the women's 10m air pistol event with 237.5 points, surpassing the runner-up by 2.3 points in the final round. This is an impressive result showing the remarkable progress of the young 18-year-old female shooter from the Army team.

Joy followed joy when athlete Le Tuan Anh also brought home the gold medal in the 10m air pistol men's individual event with 228.5 points, surpassing the Singaporean shooter by only 0.4 points in the decisive round. This achievement was not only an individual victory but also marked the first gold medal of Vietnamese Shooting at SEASA 2025, opening a series of promising competitions for the team.

After this Southeast Asian tournament, the Vietnamese Shooting team will continue to train domestically and is expected to participate in the 2026 Asian Championship to accumulate points and experience. The main goal is still to regain the leading position in the region at the 33rd SEA Games, where Shooting is considered one of Vietnam's strong sports .

The success at SEASA 2025 shows the maturity of the new generation of shooters, and at the same time sends a strong message about the belief and desire to win of Vietnamese sports on the journey of integration.
