According to the introduction, the latest sniper rifle produced by the General Department of Defense Industry and announced to the public at the National Achievement Exhibition taking place in Hanoi is the SBT7MK4.

At the display area of ​​334 products in-house of the Ministry of National Defense at the National Achievement Exhibition, the most prominent are the submachine guns, medium machine guns, and sniper rifles produced by the Z111 factory (General Department of Defense Industry). Among them, some new sniper rifles were announced.

It is the SBT7MK4 sniper rifle. The gun weighs 4.3 kg, is 1.16 m long, uses 7.62 mm bullets, and has an effective range of 460 m.

The gun's muzzle velocity is 850 m/s, each box contains 10 bullets.

According to the staff at the display area, this gun can be combined with various types of scopes to increase observation ability and accuracy when shooting. The new gun is produced in small series to be used for training small forces such as the special forces of the General Department 2 and sniper training schools.

In addition to the above guns, modern guns made in Vietnam were also introduced at the exhibition, that is the SBT-7.62M2 sniper rifle (with scope). The gun uses 7.62 mm bullets, each magazine has 5 bullets. The gun can be synchronized with various types of scopes, continuously changing the magnification.

SBT-7.62M2 is longer than 1.2 m, when folded the stock is 0.97 m, weighs 5.8 kg, muzzle velocity is 800 m/s. The gun has an effective range of 800 m, but has a cylindrical angle of 4 cm/100 m to help improve combat efficiency for soldiers.

In addition to the above two types of guns, the two previously known sniper rifles are the SBT-7.62M1 (external gun). The gun is 1.2 m long, weighs 4.2 kg, uses 7.62 mm bullets, and has a muzzle velocity of 830 m/s. The gun has an effective range of 800 m, and each magazine has 10 bullets.

SBT12M1 sniper rifle (external gun) is 1.5 m long, uses 12.7 mm bullets, and weighs 12 kg.

The gun has a muzzle velocity of 820 - 850 m/s. The gun's effective range is 1,200 m, and the magazine capacity is 5 rounds.
