Proactively prepare for military service medical examination in 2026

On the afternoon of October 16, the Department of Health coordinated with the Provincial Military Command (CHQS) to organize a conference to deploy military service health examination work in 2026.

According to the report at the conference, the whole province currently has more than 80,000 citizens of military service age. Through political and policy review, there are more than 49,100 citizens eligible for military service, of which nearly 21,800 citizens are eligible for health check-ups, the rest are exempted or postponed according to regulations. In 2026, Khanh Hoa province was assigned the target of selecting and calling 3,000 citizens to participate in military service and 573 young people to participate in public security service.

According to the representative of the Department of Health, the health examination for military service is one of the important steps that determines the quality of military recruitment, ensuring that the source of citizens joining the army is healthy enough to perform training tasks and is ready to fight. Therefore, the Health sector will proactively coordinate closely with military agencies at all levels to develop specific plans and implement this work synchronously and in accordance with regulations. The Department of Health also requires commune and ward health centers to fully prepare human resources, facilities, and medical equipment; organize training for medical staff and doctors participating in the examination, ensuring consistency in the process and avoiding errors. The examination must be carried out objectively, scientifically, fairly, and strictly comply with health classification standards according to regulations.

Concluding the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Military Command and the Department of Health agreed to strengthen the direction of relevant agencies and units to proactively and effectively implement all preparations; organize military service health examinations in 2026 strictly, seriously and effectively, contributing to completing the military recruitment target, ensuring the quality of military service according to the plan of the Government and the Ministry of National Defense .
