The final match between Moritz Neuhausen (Germany) and Pujis Labitis (Lithuania) took place under the cheers of nearly 2,000 fans watching live, creating a vibrant atmosphere, which has become a specialty of Hanoi Open Pool and making the tournament one of the most anticipated Major tournaments in the WNT system.

The two players played a balanced and close game in the early stages of the match. However, when the score was 4-4, Labutis began to take the lead. With a calm and precise play in every situation, the Lithuanian player gradually increased the gap to 10-4. The lack of opportunities to hold the cue did not seem to cause Neuhausen to lose his rhythm. He still took advantage of the opportunities when given, and held on to hope when he shortened the score to 7-10.

However, at the highest level, a mistake can be costly. A failed 2-ball run on rack 18 led to Neuhausen handing the trophy to Labutis. The Lithuanian stepped up to the table and made it 11-7. Two perfect rack breaks and clears followed to give Labutis a 13-7 victory. It was Labutis' first Major title, earning him $40,000.
