Lao Cai Ward: Enterprises accompany in building civilized urban areas

Responding to Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13), Lao Cai ward recognized the important role and contribution of the business community and entrepreneurs to the local socio-economic development.

Recently, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai ward organized a meeting with entrepreneurs and enterprises to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2025).

According to the October 2025 regular meeting report, the total budget revenue in the ward reached 2,845.5 billion VND, equal to 72% of the yearly plan; of which domestic revenue was 1,629.6 billion VND, revenue from import-export activities was 1,215.9 billion VND. The total budget revenue of the ward reached 1,686.7 billion VND, equal to 87% of the plan, contributing to the early completion of growth targets. The economy grew steadily, diversifying economic sectors; the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fishery reached 0.7%; industry and construction reached 41.7%; trade and services reached 57.6%. The average income per capita in 2025 reached 115 million VND, an increase of 115% compared to the beginning of the term.

On the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day October 13, the Ward Committee held a conference to honor outstanding entrepreneurs. This is an opportunity to evaluate the activities of the business community and entrepreneurs in the area, and at the same time recognize their positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the ward. Currently, the ward has 29 cooperatives, more than 2,000 enterprises and more than 5,000 business households. These units have made important contributions to economic growth, economic restructuring, job creation, improving people's lives and promoting the connection between the community and businesses.

Enterprises in the ward also seriously fulfill their tax obligations to the State and actively respond to policies, including Resolution 68 on supporting workers and businesses in difficulty.

In recent times, the Ward People's Committee has implemented many activities to support businesses, especially the construction and launch of a digital map of businesses in the area. This is an important step to promote the digital transformation process in the business community. Along with that, the ward is implementing the movement "Each business supports a business household" to jointly develop the digital business market, creating a foundation for sustainable growth in the coming time.

Lao Cai Ward People's Committee also launched and guided businesses to experience the Zalo Official Account of the Ward People's Committee, to enhance connectivity, provide information, receive feedback and support online administrative procedures. This is a concrete step to realize the commitment of "Digital Government - Smart Business", helping businesses easily look up planning information, policies, and register for public services right on the familiar digital platform.

Lao Cai Ward also launched and guided businesses to experience the Zalo OA Page of the People's Committee.

Along with economic development, the ward focuses on urban beautification, expanding commercial infrastructure with 05 markets, 01 supermarket, more than 350 convenience stores and 320 hotels and restaurants, affirming the role of the city's commercial and service center. In the coming time, the ward will continue to launch the movement "Enterprises accompany digital government", encourage technology application, build brands associated with local culture, towards the goal of building a green - modern - livable urban area.
