(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of October 12, at the afternoon session of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030, comrade Doan Hong Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Government Inspectorate Party Committee, and Inspector General of the Government reported on the work of inspection, supervision, discipline enforcement, and handling of complaints and denunciations of the Party at the Government Party Committee.

Comrade Doan Hong Phong emphasized that inspection and supervision is one of the important leadership functions of the Party, contributing to maintaining discipline, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization.

In the context of the newly established Government Party Committee, with a large number of subordinate Party organizations and a large number of cadres and Party members, the workload of Party building and implementation of important political tasks, leads to the inspection and supervision work of the Government Party Committee playing an increasingly key role in maintaining discipline and ensuring the comprehensive leadership of the Party.

The Government Party Committee was established on January 24, 2025, at the same time as the end of the activities of the Party Executive Committees. During the 2020-2025 term, Party committees and organizations at all levels have always paid attention to leading, directing and organizing the implementation of resolutions, conclusions and directive documents of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat in a serious, decisive manner, with clear people, clear work, within time, with responsibility, with results and authority.

The inspection concluded that 47 Party organizations and 350 Party members had violations and shortcomings. Of these, 31 Party organizations and 147 Party members had violations to the extent that disciplinary action was required.

Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong also said that although remarkable results have been achieved, the inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline by Party committees at all levels still has some shortcomings and limitations.

That is, the quality of some inspections and supervisions is still limited, the consideration of disciplinary action against Party organizations and Party members has applied disciplinary measures that are not commensurate with the nature and level of violations. The work of self-inspection and detection of violations of corruption, waste and negativity is still limited.

Great lessons and experiences

From the practical implementation of inspection and supervision work at the Party and Government in recent times, comrade Doan Hong Phong informed about some lessons learned.

Firstly, Party committees at all levels attach importance to and strengthen political and ideological education work, aiming to create strong changes in the awareness and actions of Party organizations and Party members regarding the Party's inspection and supervision work.

Second, specify the issuance of documents, regulations and instructions of the Central Committee and higher-level Party organizations on inspection and supervision work to organize implementation throughout the Party.

Third , Party committees and inspection committees at all levels determine the direction and tasks of inspection and supervision work, closely following reality, comprehensively, synchronously, and closely following the political requirements of the unit in each period.

Fourth , Party committees at all levels regularly take care to build and perfect the organization and apparatus, and ensure that the Inspection Committee's staff is sufficient in quantity, ensures quality, has qualities, ethics, professional capacity and courage to perform tasks in the new situation.

Key solutions

To strengthen and improve the quality and effectiveness of inspection, supervision and Party discipline enforcement work of the Government Party Committee in the coming time, the Government Party Committee's Inspection Commission proposes key solutions.

Firstly , continue to raise awareness and promote the responsibility of Party committees and heads of Party committees in leading, directing and organizing the implementation of inspection and supervision work according to regulations.

In particular, it is important to improve the effectiveness of inspection and supervision right from the Party cell and self-examine, self-correct, proactively overcome and correct shortcomings and weaknesses, not allowing violations to occur.

Second , focus on self-inspection and supervision of Party committees and organizations at all levels, strongly innovate thinking, methods and ways of organizing inspection and supervision work, and shift the focus to preventing and warning of violations.

Inspection and supervision are not only to detect and handle violations, but first of all to maintain discipline and prevent Party organizations and Party members from going astray.

Third , disciplinary action must be strict, accurate, timely, without forbidden areas or exceptions, and must be associated with enhanced education and management, making Party organizations and Party members see violations and shortcomings in order to overcome, correct, progress, and do better.

Fourth , build a streamlined, strong, effective and efficient Government Party Inspection Committee and Inspection Committees at all levels within the Government Party Committee. Build a team of truly competent, honest, professional inspection officers with qualifications and capacity equal to the tasks in the new situation.

Fifth , resolutely implement digital transformation of the inspection sector according to the direction of the Central Inspection Commission and the plan of the Government Party Committee, implement it firmly, gradually update and synchronously implement digital transformation solutions for the Party inspection sector.
