On the evening of October 12, the final match of the 2025 Hanoi Open Pool Championship between Pijus Labutis (Lithuania) and Moritz Neuhausen (Germany) took place at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Sports Palace (Hanoi).
The final match was a tight affair from the very first minutes. The Lithuanian player had the better start in the final match when he won the right to break the ball and took a 1-0 lead. In the second game, Moritz Neuhausen, after having the chance to enter the table, cleared all the balls to tie the score at 1-1.
Continuing his momentum, the German player won two consecutive games to take the lead with a score of 3-1. However, in the fifth game, the situation of not dropping any ball forced Neuhausen to give the opportunity to Labutis and the Lithuanian player took advantage of the opportunity to score two consecutive points, equalizing the score at 3-3.
In the next game, Labutis could not successfully pair the 9 ball and allowed Neuhausen to enter the table, raising the score to 4-3. However, very quickly in the 8th game, Labutis successfully matched the 3-7-9 ball cluster, tying the score to 4-4 in the excitement of the audience present at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Sports Palace.
It seemed like the tug of war would last throughout the final match, but Labutis made no mistakes in the next 6 games, thereby increasing the final score to 10-4.
Neuhausen then also played very hard and shortened the score to 7-10. However, the 2003-born player's "careless" shot in the next game created an opportunity for Labutis to come in and "clear the table," and finally went straight to the final victory with a score of 13-7.

Winning convincingly in the final match, Pijus Labutis ended his journey at Hanoi Open 2025 with the first major title of his career.
Previously, the Lithuanian player had reached the semi-finals of major tournaments in the World Nineball Tour system four times but had to stop at the semi-finals.
"I've been to the semi-finals of major tournaments four times and never made it. I've worked very hard to overcome this mental barrier. This time has to be different," Labutis said after his quarter-final victory this season.
During his journey at Hanoi Open 2025, Labutis defeated many "stars" of the Pool world such as Carlo Biado and Robbie Capito.
With the Hanoi Open 2025 championship title, Pijus Labutis will receive a prize worth 40,000 USD and promises to have a significant increase in ranking on the World Nineball Tour system's scoreboard./.
