Da Nang joins hands to support flood victims and Cuban people

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city, from October 6 to 15, the unit received more than 7 billion VND from agencies, units, businesses and people in the city to support people in the northern and north central provinces affected by storms No. 10 and 11.

Specifically, the total amount of money donated by Da Nang residents has reached more than 7 billion VND, of which more than 243 million VND was contributed directly in cash; the rest was transferred through 4 bank accounts, including: VietinBank more than 2.69 billion VND, Vietcombank more than 911 million VND, BIDV more than 1.48 billion VND and Agribank more than 1.8 billion VND.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city has compiled and published bank statements on the media to ensure transparency; at the same time, encouraged organizations and individuals to continue to support until November 7, 2025 directly at the headquarters at 12 Tran Phu (Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang ) or through announced accounts.

Currently, Da Nang city has provided 12 billion VND in support and organized delegations to visit and share with people in the northern and north central provinces affected by storms No. 10 and 11.

Responding to the spirit of "mutual love", the staff of the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) also donated more than 5.1 billion VND to support people in the provinces to overcome the consequences of storms and floods and help the Cuban people overcome difficulties. Mr. Ngo Tan Cu, General Director of the Central Power Corporation, said: "Each day's salary of the staff and workers of the Electricity industry is a heart of sharing, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of workers towards compatriots in the country and international friends".

After 5 days of launching, the donation movement among all employees of the Central Power Corporation has collected more than 5.1 billion VND. Many units with high support levels such as Da Nang, Dak Lak and Gia Lai Power Companies, each unit donated over 750 million VND.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Central Power Corporation has spent more than 11.6 billion VND on social security activities, including 5.9 billion VND to build charity houses; 243 million VND for the "Lighting up the Countryside" program, supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; and more than 4.1 billion VND to support the poor, students, policy families, orphans and poor patients.

The above practical activities continue to spread the spirit of solidarity and sharing of the government, businesses and people of Da Nang towards compatriots affected by natural disasters, as well as demonstrate the noble international sentiment of the Vietnamese people.
