On October 15, the Farmers' Association of Tho Tang commune held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Dang Viet Anh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association, Deputy Head of the Farmers' Affairs Committee of Phu Tho province; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, and organizations, and 118 official delegates, representing 4,782 farmer members in the area.

Tho Tang Commune was established on the basis of merging Tho Tang town, Thuong Trung commune and Tuan Chinh commune; has a natural area of ​​over 21km2, population of over 43 thousand people. The Commune Farmers' Association officially came into operation from July 1, 2025 with 31 branches and nearly 4,800 members.

During the past term, the Association's work and the farmers' movement in Tho Tang commune achieved many outstanding results, actively contributing to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas. Agricultural production has shifted strongly towards commodity, safety, high-tech application, and increasing production value. The growth rate in the period of 2023-2025 reached 4.2%. The whole commune currently has over 650 households raising snakes for breeding and commercial purposes with more than 230,000 snakes, 1 OCOP product achieving 3 stars; average income per capita reached 78.5 million VND, the poverty rate decreased to 0.51%.

Term 2025 - 2030, With the spirit of "Solidarity - Responsibility - Innovation - Cooperation - Development", the first Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union of Tho Tang commune, term 2025 - 2030 determined the direction of building a strong Union organization, promoting the role as the center and core of the farmers' movement, enhancing the role and responsibility of the Union in agricultural development, building new rural areas, building civilized urban areas; promoting consulting activities, supporting farmers in economic development; promoting the role of participating in building a clean and strong Party and government and the great national unity bloc, contributing with the people in the commune to successfully implement the resolution of the Commune Party Congress.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Do Trung Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the Commune Farmers' Association, and at the same time suggested that in the coming term, the Association should continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; promote the central and core role in agricultural development, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; strengthen the application of science, technology, digital transformation, support farmers to consume products through e-commerce platforms; build a strong Association organization, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress.

The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Tho Tang Commune Farmers' Association, term I, consisting of 31 comrades, the Standing Committee of 9 comrades; Comrade Le Hai Quan, Vice Chairman of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Tho Tang Commune Farmers' Association, term I, 2025-2030.
