Thai Nguyen Provincial leaders received and worked with Samsung Vietnam Group

On the morning of October 16, at the Provincial Party Committee Headquarters, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired a meeting and worked with the delegation of Samsung Vietnam Group, led by Mr. Na Ki Hong, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex. Also attending were comrades: Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Na Ki Hong expressed his deep sympathy to the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Nguyen province for the heavy losses caused by recent floods; at the same time, highly appreciated the province's efforts in overcoming the consequences, restoring life and production after natural disasters.

The General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex emphasized that Samsung Vietnam's factories in Thai Nguyen and most FDI enterprises in industrial parks and clusters in the area were not directly affected by natural disasters, demonstrating the strategic planning vision and risk management capacity of the locality, creating solid confidence for investors.

General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex shares with Thai Nguyen province about the damage caused by natural disasters.

Mr. Na Ki Hong affirmed that Thai Nguyen has a special position in Samsung's development strategy. After more than 10 years of investment, Samsung Thai Nguyen Complex (SEVT) has become the largest mobile phone manufacturing base in the world, making an important contribution to Vietnam's export turnover.

The results achieved are thanks to the strong support and accompaniment of the Vietnamese Government and the attention and facilitation of the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Nguyen province.

Demonstrating its social responsibility and attachment to the locality, Samsung Vietnam donated 2.5 billion VND to support the people of Thai Nguyen province to overcome the consequences of floods (part of the total 10 billion VND that the Group committed to supporting people in the provinces affected by natural disasters). Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd. (SEVT) alone donated 500 million VND voluntarily contributed by its staff and employees.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong sincerely thanked Samsung Group for its attention, sharing and timely support to Thai Nguyen province. The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the support resources will be used for the right purpose and effectively to help people stabilize their lives and restore production soon.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that during 30 years of development in Vietnam and 12 years of association with Thai Nguyen, Samsung has made important contributions to the development of the country and locality, not only in terms of investment scale, budget contribution, job creation but also in meaningful social security activities.

Thai Nguyen province always considers Samsung's development as its own development and commits to always accompany and create the most favorable conditions for the Group to continue to expand investment, develop sustainably, and contribute positively to the province's overall growth target.
