Sun PhuQuoc Airways is a strategic development model where aviation, tourism , resorts and transport infrastructure are seamlessly connected in the same ecosystem.

For the first time in Vietnam, an airline is named after an island, demonstrating its commitment and aspiration to accompany the development of Phu Quoc - the pearl island of the Fatherland, a destination that is increasingly affirming its position and attraction.
On the evening of October 15, Sun Group officially launched Sun PhuQuoc Airways. This name is not only symbolic, but also demonstrates Sun Group's strategic commitment to accompany the development of the Pearl Island, contributing to making Phu Quoc an attractive international destination, a new regional air transit hub, and at the same time, this is also a "wing" of connection, bringing new opportunities for all tourists, especially Vietnamese people, to easily access Phu Quoc and world-famous destinations, through high-quality direct flights.
Assessing the launch of Sun PhuQuoc Airways by Sun Group as a very encouraging and proud signal, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan affirmed that Sun Group has demonstrated the pioneering, creative and daring spirit of Vietnamese enterprises, in joining hands with the Government to realize the aspiration for national development, bringing Vietnam to new heights of development.
“Sun PhuQuoc Airways is not just a new airline, but a strategic development model where aviation, tourism, resorts and transport infrastructure are seamlessly connected in the same ecosystem,” said Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan.
Mr. Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group Corporation, emphasized that Sun PhuQuoc Airways was created to expand opportunities for tourism, relaxation and exploration of Phu Quoc for all Vietnamese people and international tourists with direct flights, reasonable costs, and a seamless experience from sky to ground.
“For Sun Group, aviation is the wing that completes the comprehensive tourism ecosystem, contributing to realizing the aspiration of making Phu Quoc in particular and Vietnam in general become a leading destination in the region and the world,” said Mr. Truong.
On October 15, Sun PhuQuoc Airways also officially opened ticket sales on the website. www.sunphuquocairways.com, ready for commercial flights from November 1, with routes: Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc - Hanoi, Phu Quoc - Da Nang, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang. From December 2025, the airline will continue to expand its flight network with routes Hanoi - Da Nang and Cam Ranh - Phu Quoc, helping to increase the connection between the "tourist capitals" of the Central region and the pearl island.
Previously, Sun PhuQuoc Airways was officially granted the Aircraft Operator Certificate and Aviation Training Organization Certificate by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam on September 25, 2025, affirming the airline's comprehensive capacity in operations, safety and training.
Along with that, the airline has received the first three aircraft, the Airbus A321NX and Airbus A321CEO, out of a total of eight aircraft expected to operate in 2025. By the end of 2026, the fleet is expected to reach 25 aircraft and aim for about 30-35 aircraft by 2027./.
