Talking to the Government Electronic Newspaper, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province Lu Quang Ngoi said: The Congress is of special importance to the development of Vinh Long, aiming to realize the aspiration to rise up, to develop the province quickly and sustainably. This is also a historical milestone, a political event of special significance after the merger of the three provinces of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Vinh Long, a congress of faith, aspiration and intelligence, affirming the spirit of solidarity, mettle and strategic vision of the entire Party Committee, government, army and people of Vinh Long province after the merger.

Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi emphasized: To successfully achieve the goal of bringing the province to rapid and sustainable development in the new era, the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee will focus on implementing the following key tasks and solutions:

Firstly, strengthen the building of a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology and ethics; continue to innovate and perfect the organizational apparatus and improve the operational efficiency of the political system; improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work.

Second, continue to innovate the growth model, restructure the economy towards taking science, technology and innovation as the driving force to restructure the economy, striving for GRDP growth of 10% or more.

Third, focus on developing the marine economy into a strategic pillar of the region. The focus is on developing seaports, logistics, offshore and coastal wind power; investing in reclaimed land and marine economic zones associated with urban areas and tourism; developing aquaculture, fishing and seafood processing according to sustainable value chains. Promote the development of renewable energy to become a key economic sector, gradually forming a clean energy production center in the Mekong Delta.

Fourth, focus on developing a synchronous, modern, and regionally connected infrastructure system. Remove bottlenecks and bottlenecks, expand development space to attract high-quality investment to serve local socio-economic development.

Fifth, make efforts to effectively implement breakthrough goals according to Resolution No. 57, Resolution No. 59, Resolution No. 66 and Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo in accordance with the province's conditions and resources, creating breakthroughs, improving the efficiency and competitiveness of the economy.

Sixth, effectively implement Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. The Political Report presented to the Congress clearly stated the general goal by 2030 of Vinh Long province is to continue to strengthen the building and rectification of the Party and a clean and strong political system in all aspects; promote the patriotic and revolutionary traditions, unique culture of the land rich in potential and the people of Vinh Long with their resilient, creative and united spirit.

Promote innovation, digital transformation, green transformation; strongly apply science and technology in production; improve the quality of human resources; proactively adapt to climate change and protect the environment; ensure social security, care for welfare, and improve people's lives.

Mobilize and effectively use all resources for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development; maximize the strengths of marine economy, ecological agriculture, renewable energy, logistics services, marine tourism, culture and ecology.

Building Vinh Long province into a fast-growing and sustainable locality, a center of marine economy, a center of renewable energy production, with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, smoothly connected with localities and connecting points in the Mekong Delta region.

The Congress also clearly identified 31 targets with 6 key tasks and 3 strategic breakthroughs, 11 solutions in the coming time of Vinh Long province.

Accordingly, to achieve the above goals, Vinh Long province has proposed 11 main solutions. That is, promoting the building of a clean and strong Party and political system; continuing to innovate the growth model, restructuring the economy towards relying mainly on science - technology and innovation, improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy; promoting linkages, restructuring development space;

Strive to make Vinh Long a center of marine economy and one of the centers of renewable energy production in the Mekong Delta and the whole country; comprehensively develop the culture and people of Vinh Long; fundamentally and comprehensively innovate education and training, improve the quality of human resources;

Breakthrough in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation; social development management, ensuring progress and social equity; effective management and use of resources, environmental protection, proactive response to climate change and rising sea levels;

Strengthen national defense and security, ensure social order and safety; expand and improve the effectiveness of foreign affairs, proactively and actively integrate comprehensively, deeply and effectively into the international community; strongly promote the role of the people as the main subject, social democracy and the strength of great national unity.
