The implementation content includes two projects, namely: Building a model to connect intangible cultural heritage "Traditional handicrafts of the Cham people" in the Bau Truc - My Nghiep heritage tourism journey (Ninh Phuoc commune, Khanh Hoa province). The host unit is the Department of Cultural Heritage and the implementation time is the fourth quarter of 2025. The participants are reporters, artisans and practitioners belonging to the community of intangible cultural heritage subjects.
In addition, a model of connecting the intangible cultural heritage "Cham pottery making" in the Binh Duc - Binh Tien heritage tourism journey (Bac Binh commune, Lam Dong province) is being built. The host unit is the Department of Cultural Heritage and the implementation time is the fourth quarter of 2025. The participants are reporters, artisans, and practitioners belonging to the community of the intangible cultural heritage "Cham pottery making" in Bac Binh commune, Lam Dong province.
The purpose of implementing the above Projects is to maximize the effectiveness of investment resources from the state, society and community, harmoniously combining endogenous resources to protect and promote the cultural heritage values of ethnic minority communities with similar heritages, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of local people.
In addition, it is necessary to raise awareness, respect and pride in cultural heritage in the community in protecting and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities, while widely promoting the image of traditional crafts of the Cham people to domestic and foreign tourists, turning heritage into a unique cultural tourism product.
The construction of the models also aims to strengthen the connection between localities with similar heritage, contributing to the formation of inter-regional cultural tourism routes. Through the models, people and artisans can confidently introduce products, create designs, and combine tradition with modern tourism needs.
Not only stopping at the two pilot localities, the model promises to be replicated in areas with similar heritage, forming an inter-provincial heritage tourism network. This will help ethnic minority communities have the opportunity to exchange skills, promote products and develop together. When people participate, benefit and take pride in their cultural values, the heritage will truly "live" and have the power to spread.
In fact, the pottery profession in particular, and some other traditional professions in general, of the Cham people are facing many challenges: Many elderly artisans, lack of successors, narrowing production space, handicraft products are having to compete with products of the same design made of materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, plastic... The above project hopes to help maintain the "lifeblood" of the heritage, while empowering the community to be autonomous, with many opportunities to build sustainable tourism from the strength of culture...
