Over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement of VNA associated with the slogan "Promoting the strength, dynamism and creativity of the entire industry, building VNA into a key multimedia news agency of the national media system, a trusted strategic information center of the Party and State" has been the consistent content. In addition to competing to excellently perform political tasks, units also registered to implement programs, projects... to achieve achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VNA's Traditional Day (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2025).
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Party Secretary and General Director of VNA Vu Viet Trang emphasized that in 80 years of establishment and development, VNA has always attached importance to and carried out well the emulation and reward work in the whole industry; placing emulation and reward as a key task in political tasks.
Thereby, promptly praising and rewarding typical examples in emulation movements; individuals with outstanding achievements in various fields of work. The 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress was held on the occasion of VNA's joyful and excited celebration of the 80th anniversary of its Traditional Day (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2025).
The heroic tradition of previous generations and the selfless sacrifice of nearly 260 martyr journalists are examples and historical lessons for today's journalists to constantly compete and strive to produce quality journalistic products that breathe life and spread to the world .
On this occasion, two collectives were honored to receive the Government 's emulation flag for their outstanding achievements, leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2024 of VNA.
In addition, the General Director of VNA awarded certificates of merit to 27 collectives and 39 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for the 2020-2025 period; 7 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing projects and tasks to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VNA's tradition; 114 individuals received the "For the cause of the News Agency" commemorative medal.
At the congress, there was also an award ceremony for an online contest to learn about the 80-year tradition of VNA and a sports award ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VNA's tradition./.
