Director traveled more than 20,000km to find movie locations

According to director Luong Dinh Dung, during the preparation process, there were times when he thought the project might be canceled because he couldn't find a suitable setting. During the pre-production stage, he went to Thanh Hoa 40 times, plus countless trips to Nghe An, Cao Bang ...

When he thought he had reached a dead end, he was lucky to find a small path leading to the main scene, Tam Diep pineapple hill ( Ninh Binh ). In addition, the cave scene in Ngoc Lac (Thanh Hoa) and the old forest in Moc Chau (Son La) also made him very satisfied.

The Hill of Torture marks the return of director Luong Dinh Dung after three films: Father Carrying Son, 578 - The Madman's Bullet and Sleeping City . However, this is the first time he has tried his hand at the horror genre.

The film revolves around the story of a young man named Bao, who works as a car mechanic and owns an old car garage. While dismantling a car from the 90s, Bao accidentally awakens an evil force, leading to a series of strange events happening to him and those around him.

With the presence of a mysterious investigator (Hua Vi Van), secrets from the past rise from the grave, exposing the dark corners of human greed and brutality.

Director Luong Dinh Dung said he focused on exploiting horror elements from people's original fears. Because that is what attracts audiences and makes a difference from films of the same genre.

Torture Hill is labeled T18 (for audiences 18 years and older) and is expected to open on September 26 in theaters nationwide.
