Encourage community activities and movements
In recent times, in Dong Nai province, many programs for waste classification at source, collection and recycling of solid waste have been widely implemented in urban areas and residential areas. In addition, the province focuses on developing green areas, conserving forests and river and lake systems, creating a harmonious ecological space for people. Movements such as tree planting, “Green Sunday”, and limiting the use of plastic bags have also received positive responses from the community.

In particular, the province encourages businesses to apply clean technology, environmentally friendly production, and energy saving. Thanks to many synchronous solutions, people and businesses' awareness of environmental protection is increasingly enhanced, contributing to building Dong Nai into a sustainable development, both an economic center and a green - clean - beautiful locality.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son, in 2025, in order to mobilize people's strength in environmental protection, Dong Nai launched the "Campaign to make the world cleaner" with the message "Join hands to act for a cleaner world". The campaign's goal is to contribute to raising public awareness of environmental protection; encourage community activities and movements for the environment, towards a green economy, circular economy and sustainable development; effectively implement Vietnam's commitments to the international community on environmental protection and climate change adaptation.
Through this campaign, departments, branches and localities in Dong Nai province promote environmental communication with simple, specific and meaningful messages so that participants can see that their joint contributions have a positive impact on making the environment better; at the same time, so that those who have not participated, after witnessing the effects of the campaign, are willing to join in the action. In addition, it is necessary to arouse the spirit and enthusiasm of young people who are ready to act for the environment.
Every citizen is an environmental soldier
Recently, in Binh Phuoc ward, Dong Nai province, more than 2,000 cadres, armed forces, union members, youth, students and people in the ward responded to the campaign "Make the world cleaner". Binh Phuoc ward organized practical and diverse activities, such as: jogging for the environment, waste collection and gift exchange program, online photo contest "Binh Phuoc green, clean, beautiful in every moment" and especially the general environmental sanitation event in the entire ward.
Mr. Ngo Hong Khang, Chairman of Binh Phuoc Ward People's Committee, said, "The activities responding to the "Make the world cleaner" Campaign in Binh Phuoc Ward do not stop at temporary response, but also aim to create strong, long-term changes in the awareness and actions of the community, so that "each citizen is an environmental protection soldier".
In order for the environmental protection movement to truly spread, be sustainable and go into depth, Binh Phuoc ward has stepped up propaganda and mobilized union members, association members and people to classify waste at source, dispose of waste in the right place, on time, and build green - clean - beautiful neighborhoods. At the same time, businesses are called upon to attach the responsibility of protecting the environment to the task of developing production and business, and actively accompany movements launched by the locality. Each family should start with small but practical actions such as cleaning the family yard, planting and caring for trees, limiting the use of plastic bags, collecting and classifying waste according to regulations.
Promoting the role of socio-political organizations
According to Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, as of mid-July 2025, the whole province had established over 480 models of "People's mobilization to skillfully classify solid waste that can be reused and recycled at source". In the second quarter of 2025, Youth Union chapters at all levels coordinated with Women's Unions at all levels and the Department of Agriculture and Environment to propagate more than 900 campaigns, mobilizing more than 80,000 households to implement the model. Thereby, more than 110,000 kg of solid waste that can be reused and recycled at source were collected with a total cost of nearly 43 million VND. Through propaganda and mobilization activities, people's awareness of classifying solid waste that can be reused and recycled at source has changed positively.
In the old Bien Hoa City, the local Women's Union at all levels has built more than 40 environmental protection models in the community. In particular, the "Green House" model is one of the models that has been promoting and spreading environmental protection at the grassroots level. To promote effectiveness and create a stronger spread, the local Women's Union has promoted and supported the implementation of the model among all cadres, women members and people, at the same time guiding how to classify waste, mobilizing women to collect recyclable waste and bring it to the "Green House". In particular, the model has raised a fund of more than 300 million VND in 2023 - 2024 to care for poor women, single women in difficult circumstances and orphans in the localities. In the coming time, in addition to the "Green House" model to protect the environment at the grassroots level, the Women's Union at all levels in the area will continue to maintain regular activities of clubs, women's groups to protect the environment, and women's groups to classify household waste at source.
