Writer Shin Kyung-sook interacts with Vietnamese readers

On October 18 at Lotte Mall Tay Ho (Hanoi), Korean writer Shin Kyung-sook will have a meeting and exchange with Vietnamese readers on the occasion of the launch of her new work 'Farewell Minute'.

Shin Kyung-sook is famous for her novels depicting family affection, generational rifts, and many nostalgic works, which evoke Korea's turbulent history through young, familiar, and ordinary characters.

In Vietnam, Shin Kyung-sook's works are loved by many readers. Besides the above two works, four other novels were also introduced, including: Somewhere a phone is calling me, The girl who writes loneliness, Stories to tell the moon and Come back to dad .

She is one of the Korean authors with the most books translated into Vietnamese, of which Please Take Care of Mom has been reprinted dozens of times over the past decade. This is also the work that brought her to the international market. Up to now, the work has been translated into more than 40 languages.

The Minute of Parting is written in the form of three related letters, inspired by Shin Kyung-sook's real experiences as well as the people she knew, sending a strong message of moving on after parting with the most important things.
