The Ministry of Home Affairs working delegation worked at Ha Giang 1 ward on implementing the two-level local government model.

On October 15, the Ministry of Home Affairs' working delegation led by Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Home Affairs) had a working session with the People's Committee of Ha Giang 1 Ward on the results of implementing the two-level local government model and the situation of decentralization, delegation of power, and division of authority in the locality.

Overview of the working session.

Ha Giang 1 Ward was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Nguyen Trai Ward, Phuong Thien Commune, Phuong Do Commune and Group 1, Group 2 of Quang Trung Ward; with a natural area of ​​84.69 km², a population of 24,185 people with 19 ethnic groups living together, divided into 37 residential groups. After the merger, the ward has many advantages in terms of urban space, infrastructure, land, human resources and geographical location favorable for socio-economic development. However, the locality also faces many difficulties such as differences in natural conditions, people's knowledge, production practices; rapid urbanization, while the lives of a part of the people still face many difficulties.

At the working session, the working delegation listened to the Ward People's Committee report on the results of local government activities in the past time, pointed out the advantages, difficulties, obstacles and recommendations and proposals in the process of implementing the two-level local government model after merging administrative units. The members of the delegation discussed and clarified many contents related to the organization of the apparatus, personnel work, management activities, serving the people and administrative reform at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel of the Ministry of Home Affairs, acknowledged the proactive, responsible and flexible spirit of the staff and civil servants of Ha Giang Ward 1 in the process of operating the new government model. She requested the locality to continue reviewing and perfecting the coordination process between specialized departments, enhancing the effectiveness of serving people and organizations, and proactively proposing practical solutions to improve the quality of state management at the grassroots level.
