This is the second consecutive year that Metfone Company has accompanied the National Blood Transfusion Center to coordinate in carrying out this meaningful blood donation activity "One drop of blood - Million hearts".
The program received enthusiastic response from a large number of company officers and employees, including Vietnamese and Cambodian people, and some of Metfone's partners.
Blood units are collected and stored at the National Blood Transfusion Center, ready to provide for cases requiring emergency blood transfusion.
Sharing with Nhan Dan Newspaper reporters in Cambodia , Metfone Company's Deputy General Director in charge of foreign affairs Nhong Dinthan said that since the first days of operation, Metfone has always strived to maintain its pioneering business philosophy associated with social responsibility, paying much attention and care to community life.
Metfone leaders emphasized that the annual Blood Donation Day event is maintained regularly by the company to support patients in urgent need of blood transfusion and is also a bridge to strengthen solidarity and good friendship between the two governments and peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Viettel invested in Cambodia in 2006 and launched the Metfone brand in 2009, gradually becoming one of the leading telecommunications enterprises in the land of pagodas.
Over the years, Metfone has actively organized and participated in charitable activities, such as free heart surgery for poor children, medical examination and treatment for people in difficult circumstances and support in finding relatives lost in war.
Deputy Director of Viettel Cambodia (GIS-Global Innovation Services) Vo Hoang Thuan excitedly shared his feelings when participating in the event: “I am very excited to attend the blood donation program “One drop of blood - Million hearts” today organized by Metfone. I hope to contribute a small part of myself to help the community. I always believe that one drop of blood given, one life remains, I hope that our drops of blood today will reach those who really need it”.
It is expected that during the remaining time of the end of 2025, Metfone Company will continue to implement social activities such as giving Tet gifts to Vietnamese Cambodians, visiting and giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances...
Through these practical activities, the company's leadership, officers and employees hope to further spread the spirit of responsibility for the community, contributing to the social life and local people; at the same time contributing to fostering the good and strong friendship between the two neighboring countries and peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.
