On October 18, the Traffic Police Department of Can Tho City Police said that while performing duties in Cai Rang Ward, officers from Hung Phu Traffic Police Station promptly assisted in clearing the road for a car to take a patient in Vinh Long Province who showed signs of a stroke to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Accordingly, on the evening of October 17, the Working Group of Hung Phu Traffic Police Station was conducting a planned alcohol concentration test when a driver driving a car with license plate 64H-057.XX stopped by to ask for help leading the way to SIS Can Tho Hospital.

The leader of the Working Group directed Lieutenant Colonel Pham Minh Huong and a soldier from the Mobile Police Department to use a special vehicle to quickly clear the way to take the patient to emergency care.

Mr. Chau Ly My Quoc (residing in Vinh Long province) said that at that time, he took his biological father from Vinh Long to Can Tho city for emergency treatment.

On the way, the patient showed signs of convulsions, so as soon as he passed Can Tho bridge, he saw the traffic police on duty, so he stopped the car to ask the officers and soldiers there to help clear the road.

According to Mr. Quoc, because the road from Can Tho bridge to the hospital has many vehicles and traffic lights, he decided to ask the traffic police for help.

After learning about the incident, the officers on duty enthusiastically supported and cleared the way for Mr. Quoc to take his relatives to the hospital.

After receiving emergency care, the patient’s health improved. Mr. Quoc sent his thanks to the traffic police officers at Hung Phu station for supporting his family in their time of need.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 5, while patrolling, the Hung Phu Traffic Police Station Working Group also promptly took a child to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Specifically, at about 2:50 p.m. on July 5, on Pham Hung Street (section belonging to Cai Rang Ward, Can Tho City), the Working Group including Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoa Hiep, Deputy Head of Hung Phu Traffic Police Station; Lieutenant Colonel Pham Minh Huong and Senior Lieutenant Dang Thien Van, received a report that PHT (4 years old) in My Tu Commune, Can Tho City showed signs of urinary tract obstruction, at risk of bladder rupture, and needed assistance to get to the hospital.
