The influence of cold air combined with disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone, from now until the night of December 14, from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with common rainfall of 80-180mm, in some places over 350mm. There is a risk of local heavy rain (over 100mm/6 hours).

On the day and night of December 13, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the South will have showers and thunderstorms in some places, with heavy rain in some places, with rainfall ranging from 10-30mm, and over 70mm in some places.

Weather forecast from the night of December 14 to December 22, the meteorological agency said that the North and Thanh Hoa will have rain in some places, cold weather, and some mountainous areas in the North will be very cold. In particular, from the night of December 14 to December 15, this area will be very cold, and mountainous areas will be very cold.

From Nghe An to Binh Thuan, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. On December 15, from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa, there will be moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall ranging from 20-50mm, and over 80mm in some places. In the North, it will be cold, from December 17 at night and early morning.

From the night of December 15, heavy rain gradually decreased in the Central provinces.

The Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. From the night of December 14 to December 15, this area will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain.

According to the 10-day weather update in Hanoi by the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on December 14-15, the temperature in this area will drop sharply, the temperature difference between day and night will be only about 2 degrees Celsius, the weather will be very cold. This highest temperature threshold continues to be maintained in the capital from December 18-22. However, the lowest temperature fluctuates. On December 18-19, the lowest temperature in Hanoi fluctuates between 14-16 degrees Celsius and gradually decreases in the following 3 days, down to 11-13 degrees Celsius.

Lai Chau, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Vinh Phuc, Son La are localities where the lowest temperature is forecast to drop below 10 degrees Celsius, including Lai Chau. Of which, Vinh Phuc, Cao Bang on December 16 will have the lowest temperature of 6 degrees Celsius.
