Vietnam Railways Corporation has just announced that passengers can come to the station to check in and receive refunds for their tickets due to the train stopping running due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Specifically, during the peak of the Covid-19 epidemic, the railway had to temporarily stop running a number of passenger trains. To protect the interests of customers, the railway has refunded tickets or reserved the use of train tickets for customers for a period of 1 year.

However, up to now, there are still more than 4,000 customers who have not completed the procedures to receive their ticket refunds, with a total amount of nearly 2.2 billion VND.

Therefore, the railway informs passengers to go to the nearest station to return reserved tickets until October 31, 2024. After this time, the railway will stop supporting the refund of reserved tickets according to regulations.

Refund procedure for reserved ticket: The ticket returner brings the original "Ticket Return Receipt" with the ticket return stamp and valid identification to the ticket sales offices at railway stations to receive the refund.

In case the passenger loses the "Ticket Return Receipt", he/she will be instructed to complete the procedure at the station, instead of the reserved Ticket Return Receipt.

Passengers can also call the ticket sales hotline 19001520 (Saigon station) or 19000109 ( Hanoi station) for specific answers and instructions.
