Ha Long Heritage International Marathon recognized internationally

According to the Organizing Committee of the Ha Long Heritage International Marathon, the tournament has just been officially recognized as an international standard tournament, marking an important step in the journey of building a sports brand and promoting the tourism image of Quang Ninh province. The tournament is jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province and Duc Huong Anh Company Limited (DHA Vietnam).

According to the representative of DHA Vietnam Company - the copyright owner of the race, the international certification is the result of many years of efforts to improve the quality of organization, perfect technical and professional standards according to the requirements of international sports organizations. The race not only meets strict regulations on measurement, safety, health , logistics, but also ensures factors of environmental protection, preservation and honoring the value of the world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay.

The international recognition is of special importance, contributing to raising the image of the Ha Long Heritage Marathon on the world sports map. From a grassroots tournament, the event has now become an attractive sports destination, attracting thousands of domestic and international athletes to participate. The event also contributes to promoting tourism and service development, widely promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly and unique Quang Ninh.

It is known that World Athletics Label Road Race is a comprehensive certification and strict standard for road racing races in the world. To achieve the World Athletics Label, it is necessary to meet a series of standards of the World Athletics Federation on: The running track is accurately measured by AIMS/WA experts; medical system - safety - doping control according to international regulations; operations, communication, logistics... and especially the race must be attractive enough to attract the participation of international Elite athletes.

The Organizing Committee said that after many seasons, the Ha Long Heritage Marathon has proven its prestige and quality through its increasingly large scale, professional management, beautiful and unique running route when taking athletes across coastal roads, Bai Chay bridge, Ha Long center with the majestic scenery of the heritage bay. This is also one of the few running races in Vietnam that bears the mark of combining sports and heritage tourism.

The 2025 Ha Long Heritage International Marathon will officially take place from November 21 to 23, 2025, with the official race day on Sunday, November 23, 2025. This is not just a sporting event, but also an opportunity for each athlete and runner to proudly stride on a heritage running route and enjoy the beautiful nature of Ha Long Bay - where every step is not only to conquer passion, but also to contribute to affirming the position of a Vietnamese marathon that has reached the world.

At present, the preparations are ready. This year, the tournament is expected to welcome the largest number of international athletes in Vietnam with the number up to nearly 3,000 athletes, an increase of 120% compared to the 2024 season. Participating in the competition will be famous runners in the international running community, especially athlete Lee Bong-ju, one of the best long-distance runners in the history of Korean athletics.
