The whole country has nearly 17,400 OCOP products and more than 600 agricultural and rural tourism models.

This information was given at the "Conference to evaluate the results of OCOP product development and rural tourism in the 2021-2025 period, orientation for the 2026-2030 period" organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on the morning of October 16, in Hanoi.

Accordingly, after more than 7 years of implementing the OCOP Program (from 2018 to September 2025), the whole country has nearly 17,400 OCOP products of more than 9,300 OCOP entities achieving 3 stars or more, an increase of more than 8,400 products compared to 2022, exceeding the target assigned in Decision No. 919/QD-TTg dated August 1, 2022 of the Prime Minister. OCOP products meet quality and food safety standards and regulations; have diverse designs and packaging that are environmentally friendly, suitable for the requirements of the domestic and export markets. The awareness, thinking and capacity of OCOP entities, especially cooperatives and small and medium enterprises, have been improved. The OCOP brand has gradually been affirmed in the domestic market and begun to reach out to the world .

Regarding the Rural Tourism Development Program in New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period, to date, the whole country has more than 600 agricultural and rural tourism models in operation, an increase of 235 models compared to 2022. The One Commune One Product Program and the Rural Tourism Program have been gradually "awakening" indigenous cultural values ​​and unique ecological landscapes of the countryside. Many models combining experience, consumption of OCOP products and rural tourism have been deployed, gradually forming a "multi-value" rural economic ecosystem.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said that entering the 2026-2030 period requires OCOP programs and agricultural and rural tourism to change their thinking and approach towards focusing on quality instead of quantity; focusing on enhancing sustainable values, promoting innovation and perfecting a synchronous legal corridor to develop Vietnam's advantageous industries.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will coordinate with ministries and branches to develop policy mechanisms for OCOP products as well as rural tourism. The Ministry will also pioneer the application of science and technology, digital transformation to support development, implement traceability, and bring many OCOP products to e-commerce platforms; at the same time, issue guidelines for developing the OCOP Program associated with rural development and sustainable poverty reduction in the coming period...
