Advice for the Capital to develop civilized, cultured, and modern

The city has achieved many successes that the people are enjoying.

As a pre-uprising cadre, I was extremely honored and moved when I was invited for the first time by the City Party Committee to attend an important political event - the 18th City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

I realize that over the past 95 years, our Party has achieved extremely glorious and brilliant successes, helping our nation to develop more and more and have a high position in the international arena. This achievement has a very important contribution from the Hanoi City Party Committee, especially in the two great resistance wars and the current cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Living in Ba Dinh ward (formerly Dien Bien ward), I am proud to be a citizen of the capital. I clearly feel that Hanoi is becoming more and more civilized, clean and beautiful, trusted and supported by the people of the whole country and the international community. The city aims to move towards a highly developed economy within the next 20 years.

In the past time, the City Party Committee has achieved many successes that the people are enjoying, which is also a great joy for my fighting life.

What is even more gratifying is the inheritance and promotion of the current generation of Party members. I believe that generations of Party members and leaders of the Hanoi Party Committee will highly promote their qualifications, intelligence and creativity. This is a solid foundation to bring our Capital to a civilized, cultured, modern and highly cultured state. That is my greatest wish, a citizen who has been attached to the Capital Hanoi all his life.

Need to create breakthroughs in administrative procedure reform

I used to fight in the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam battlefields, and after retiring, I returned to live in the locality. As a resident of the capital, I am always interested in the city's socio-economic development.

Through following the mass media, I realized that in the 2020-2025 term, the city has achieved many achievements in all fields. The City Party Committee has proposed many solutions and breakthroughs to develop the capital in the new period, including issues related to people's lives that are of great concern to the people.

I am particularly interested in the breakthroughs in administrative procedure reform of the Capital in the coming time. Although the city has recently had many administrative procedure reforms to better serve the people, we hope that this area will be reformed more strongly, with administrative procedures more open and simpler to facilitate the people and businesses.

The implementation of the two-level local government model in Hanoi city in recent times has been supported and highly appreciated by the people. Commune-level governments are increasingly operating effectively and systematically with the promotion of digital transformation applications, making the government closer to the people.

However, this is also a difficulty for senior party members like us who do not know how to apply digital transformation and use smartphones. We hope that authorities at all levels pay more attention to the elderly when performing administrative procedures in the digital environment.

Veteran Lam Van Bang, Director of the Museum of Revolutionary Soldiers imprisoned by the enemy (Phu Xuyen commune):
The city is interested in the field of urban transport.

As a 1/4-class disabled veteran, a former prisoner captured by the enemy and imprisoned in Phu Quoc prison, before retiring I worked at Road Management Company 236, so I am particularly interested in the city's urban and traffic development issues.

During the past term, the Hanoi Party Committee achieved many achievements in this important field, thereby contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the capital.

I think the biggest problem in the field of urban transport development in Hanoi today is the problem of land. If we want to develop ourselves, in the work of urban transport planning, we must accept the "sacrifices" and disadvantages of individuals; at the same time, the city needs to invest more strongly in this field. Smooth traffic will contribute to promoting the economic and social development of the capital.
