Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism shared: "We chose the Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon as the highlight event to close the Ho Chi Minh City River Festival 2025 because of its symbolic nature and strong influence. This is one of the city's most unique sports and tourism activities, both creating a highlight to attract international tourists and bringing values of connection and inspiration to the community. Not just a simple running race, the event also becomes a new tourism product, contributing to diversifying experiences and enhancing the city's position on the sports tourism map. At the same time, this is also a testament to the city's commitment to accompanying, developing and elevating activities with its own mark, towards the goal of building Ho Chi Minh City into a dynamic, modern city, where sports, culture and tourism develop together sustainably."

Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said: "Since 2017, the Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon has become a typical community sports mark of the city, where departments, businesses and people join hands to build a healthy and active lifestyle. More than a sports event, the tournament has spread positive values, encouraged the spirit of solidarity and nurtured the common pride of the community. Each season is marked by great strides in scale, quality of organization and influence, affirming the key role in the city's sports development strategy. At the same time, the tournament also contributes to enhancing the image of Ho Chi Minh City as an attractive international destination, a place where major sports events converge".
