Teachers and students of Hien Nhan Secondary and High School watch the movie "Red Rain" at Le Do cinema.

In early October, students of Hien Nhan Secondary and High School (Da Nang City) had a special experience when the school organized to watch the movie "Red Rain" in the theater. Not only was it an extracurricular activity, but it was also a vivid lesson in history, continuing the series of local education programs that the school has implemented for many years.

Touched by the images in the movie "Red Rain", Nguyen Van Cuong (grade 12/9) shared: "The movie helps us better understand the sacrifices of our fathers and brothers. From then on, I realized that I need to live more responsibly and appreciate every peaceful day today."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, Chairwoman of the school's Board of Directors, believes that traditional education does not stop at books. When experiencing history through movies with vivid sounds and images, students will feel more clearly the sacrifice and value of peace .

Not only stopping at the cinema experience, Hien Nhan School also implements Local Education subject directly linked with local culture.

With the topic of Buddhism, instead of just studying in class, students of Hien Nhan School have the opportunity to experience right at Ngu Hanh Son - a space associated with the long-standing presence of Buddhism in Da Nang . This practical experience helps the lesson become more vivid and open.

In addition, students also visited Tung Son Church (Hoa Khanh Ward) - the oldest church in Da Nang, which marked the first missionary steps of Catholicism in the Central region. Through this, students felt the interweaving and harmony of beliefs in the locality.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Thao, the school's principal, shared: "We hope that students will not only learn from books but also have practical experiences, to understand more deeply about the history and culture of their homeland. From there, they will form their personality and love for their country from the closest things."

As for Hoang Hoa Tham High School, the school also organized for grade 10 students to visit and study at Da Nang Museum and Hoang Sa Exhibition House.

At Da Nang Museum, students will learn about the history and culture of Quang Nam - Da Nang; the struggles to protect independence, war relics, the integration and development process of Da Nang city....

At the Hoang Sa Exhibition House, students learned about historical and legal evidence affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa archipelago. Through this study tour, students became more loving, more proud and more aware of their responsibilities to their homeland and country.

Tran Phu High School also organized for students to visit Da Nang Museum and Dien Hai Citadel relic. This place recorded the mark of Da Nang army and people in the early days of fighting against French colonialists.

Mr. Nguyen Cuu Huy, principal of the school, said that this activity not only helps students learn about the historical traditions of the locality, but also arouses their passion for history, raising awareness in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage and the history of the nation's revolutionary struggle.

Through that, children are also educated in love for the community, knowing how to share with the less fortunate and continuing and promoting the precious traditions of their ancestors.
