Currently, the contractor is actively speeding up the construction progress of the Kim Dong - Ring Road 2.5 underpass.

At the Kim Dong - Ring Road 2.5 underpass construction site, there was the sound of machinery and workers working hard in the hot sun.

After days of storms and rain, the open tunnel section adjacent to Ring Road 2.5 is still flooded.

The underground tunnel area under the railway and Giai Phong road is also being accelerated. According to the representative of the Kim Dong tunnel management board, the project has reached about 50% of the volume according to the schedule. On stormy and flood days, workers still take advantage of the time when there is no heavy rain to carry out the construction.

The open tunnel section on Kim Dong Street is in the process of constructing a retaining wall.

Workers are actively working on the construction site.

Traffic in the underpass construction area on Giai Phong and Kim Dong streets is always tense, especially during rush hour when congestion often occurs due to narrowed roads and high traffic volume.

It is expected that the Kim Dong – Giai Phong underpass will be completed in 2025. The tunnel has a total length (including tunnel and approach road) of about 890m, with a scale of 4 lanes. This is the second underpass under the railway in Hanoi (currently there is the Kim Lien tunnel).
