Support 2,300 gifts to people in flood-affected areas

- Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Lang Son province, on October 8, the Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son presided over and coordinated with relevant agencies and units to urgently deploy the supply of goods and essential necessities to support people in areas affected and isolated by natural disasters in the province.

Representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade presented gifts to support local agencies affected by natural disasters.

Specifically, the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of the province have directed the departments and affiliated units to coordinate and mobilize distribution and supply points of goods in the province to participate in supporting food, foodstuffs and essential necessities for people in flood-affected areas.

After a period of urgent mobilization, on October 8, the department organized the giving of 2,300 gifts, mainly necessities such as drinking water, instant noodles, milk and dry food... with a total value of over 450 million VND to people affected by storms and floods in the communes of Thien Tan, Yen Binh, Van Nham, Tuan Son, Huu Lung and Bac Son commune.

Support gifts were delivered by functional forces to isolated areas in Bac Son commune.

Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son is continuing to coordinate with localities to closely monitor weather developments and inform suppliers to proactively stockpile essential goods, ensuring a stable supply to serve the people in all situations.

This activity aims to promptly support people in immediate difficulties and demonstrate the spirit of mutual love and sharing with people in disaster areas in the province.
