Create a source of works to participate in journalism awards

As one of the tasks that has received attention, the work of supporting the creation of high-quality press works in Vinh Phuc province has created works with depth, investment, and vividly reflecting all aspects of social life in the province. The implementation of this work not only creates a competitive movement in all levels of the Association but also creates a source of quality works for members to participate in the provincial and central press awards.

Implementation of the Government according to the Guidelines of the Vietnam Journalists Association . In 2023, the Provincial Journalists Association ordered 20 high-quality press works, including ordering the Journalists Association with Vinh Phuc Newspaper, Vinh Phuc Radio and Television Station and each branch with 1 key high-quality press work. To encourage branches and members to innovate the content and form of expressing press works, the Association organized and mobilized members to participate in the Vinh Phuc Provincial Press Awards 2023 and participate in the Central Press Awards. Particularly with the 12th Vinh Phuc Provincial Press Awards - 2023, after 12 seasons, the 2023 Awards have gradually increased their attractiveness, contributing positively to the propaganda work on the socio-economic development of Vinh Phuc province, while creating a useful intellectual playground for professional and non-professional journalists in Vinh Phuc province.

The award also received the attention of many journalist members and collaborators of local and central press agencies. The Provincial Press Award Council received more than 250 press works from authors of agencies, units and establishments in the province. Through the award, many excellent press works were born, which are high-quality information sources effectively serving the political tasks of the province and the country. The Provincial Press Award Council selected 136 works for the final round, including 29 print works, 15 photojournalism works, 27 electronic press works, 23 radio works, and 42 television works. The Provincial Press Award Council selected 35 excellent works to award, including 4 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 10 C prizes, and 13 Encouragement prizes.

Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial Journalists Association Nguyen Dinh Bang shared: Regarding participation in the Central Journalism Awards, the Provincial Journalists Association gathered and selected 30 outstanding journalistic works of its members to participate in the 2022 National Journalism Awards; developed a plan and launched a campaign to all members to actively respond to the emulation movement to create high-quality journalistic works, and journalism competitions: National Journalism Awards; National Journalism Awards on Party Building "Golden Hammer and Sickle"; Journalism Awards on Party Building of Vinh Phuc Province in 2023, National Journalism Awards on anti-corruption and waste prevention; writing contest on the topic of sustainable poverty reduction, Journalism with the theme "For national security and peaceful life"... in 2023.

In addition to participating in the Central and Local Press Awards, in 2023 the Provincial Journalists Association also launched a press competition with the theme "Uncle Ho with Vinh Phuc". The competition received more than 100 works in 5 types of journalism: print newspapers, electronic newspapers, press photos, television newspapers, and radio newspapers. 58 press works entered the final round, the Jury of the competition selected 28 best works to award prizes, including 3 A prizes, 7 B prizes, 8 C prizes, and 10 Encouragement prizes.

Currently, the Provincial Journalists Association is also launching the press contest "Vinh Phuc joins hands to build new rural areas". The contest selects press works in the following categories: print newspapers, electronic newspapers, press photos, radio newspapers, television newspapers written on the topic "Vinh Phuc joins hands to build new rural areas". The summary and award ceremony of the press contest "Vinh Phuc joins hands to build new rural areas" is expected to take place at the end of December 2023.

Arouse passion for career and sense of responsibility

Implementing Resolution No. 08/NQ-HDND dated May 5, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council approving the project to build a "Model Cultural Village" in Vinh Phuc province, period 2023-2030. The Provincial Journalists Association has deployed the publication of the photo series "Culture, tourism, building a Model Cultural Village" in Vinh Phuc province. On September 21, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Journalists Association organized the deployment to the branches and photojournalists to participate in publishing the photo series "Culture, tourism, building a Model Cultural Village". Through this activity, the Provincial Journalists Association hopes that photojournalists will actively participate in creating quality press photos, widely and strongly propagating the fields of culture, tourism and the purpose, meaning and importance of building a Model Cultural Village in the province.

Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Journalists Association Nguyen Dinh Bang said that in order for each press award and contest to be effective, it is necessary to develop a systematic plan early, then organize and launch it to all levels of the association and its members. Maintain the provision of information related to the award and contest so that journalists are interested in promoting it in the right direction. The Association also invites experienced journalists to share and guide members in improving the quality of works participating in the award through training sessions. In addition to sending information on support for high-quality press works and plans for participating in press awards to the branches, the unit also assigns targets to the branches. For example, the Radio and Television Association, each branch must produce 40 quality press works for the branches to strive to implement.

“ To make each member interested in improving the quality of their work and participating in competitions, there needs to be good encouragement, combined with rewards for their efforts, and linking this work with emulation movements for journalists to participate. For example, for members and journalists in the province who have won the National Press Award; National Press Award for Party Building... The Provincial Journalists Association will propose to the Provincial People's Committee to award certificates of merit" - Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Journalists Association shared. It is known that recently at the press contest with the theme "Uncle Ho with Vinh Phuc", the authors whose works won the prize were also awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee. These are the great concerns of the province for journalist members with quality press works, encouraging the spirit of each person to continue to strive in the process of work.

It can be said that, promoting the achieved results, Vinh Phuc Provincial Journalists Association has been and will continue to contact the base to organize field trips to create creative spaces. From there, journalist members have more materials and articles about economic, cultural and tourism models in that locality, thereby improving skills and enhancing solidarity for each member.
