Opening of the 1st Government Party Congress

The 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term is the first Congress of the Government Party Committee under the new organizational model, taking place in the context that the entire Party, people and army are striving and determined to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals for 2025 and the 5-year period of 2021-2025; competing to achieve achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Held over two days, October 12-13, the Congress has the theme "Building a clean and strong Government Party; solidarity, exemplary leadership in science , technology, innovation, digital transformation; accelerating breakthroughs, developing the country quickly and sustainably in the era of rising up, becoming rich, strong, civilized, prosperous, and happy". The motto of the Congress is: "Solidarity, discipline - Democracy, innovation - Breakthrough development - Close to the people, for the people".

The Congress was honored to welcome General Secretary To Lam to attend and give a speech at the Congress; key leaders, Politburo members, Secretariat members; leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; former leaders of the Government; leaders of the Party's Central Committees and agencies, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee;...

Attending the Congress were 453 official delegates (including 60 ex-officio delegates, 157 officially appointed delegates and 236 elected delegates), representing over 209,000 party members from 2,211 grassroots party organizations in the entire Government Party Committee; along with about 120 invited delegates.

The Congress will summarize and evaluate the results of the 2020-2025 term, review the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; determine the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
